Alabama murderer prisoner and prison officer missing

    https://www.huffpost.com/entry/alaba...b0cca675567065

FLORENCE, Ala. (AP) — A prison official from Alabama is missing after escorting an inmate to a courthouse for a hearing.
The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post Saturday that Assistant Director of Corrections Vicky White disappeared while escorting an inmate being held on capital murder charges. The inmate is also missing.
I wonder if he bamboozled her into helping him escape, or he blackmailed her or something.

I am guessing they were in a relationship. There's talk that she sold her house put in for retirement before this happened. I just hope he didn't use her and kill her when he got what he wanted.

This wouldnt be the first time this happened. She worked there for so long and had such a good reputation, you would think she wouldnt fall for this sociopath. I wonder if she was married and had a family?

Sadly, many people who get into social work/law enforcement are either sociopaths themselves or suckers for the kind of con sociopaths run. I had a good friend whose first husband was just such a charming user (not a criminal but the sort of smooser who'd run you down to get ahead) after he moved on she found a sad sack who she ended up paying alimony to finally get shed of him, spent years paying off the debts he ran up on credit cards she "didn't know she applied for", her current husband had a mother who needed a caregiver... so yeah women fall for cons, over and over sometimes.

I don't think things are looking great for Vicki.

Back in the early 2000s, a woman who ran the prison dog rescue we adopted our dog from took off with a lifer in the prison. She was well respected and never even had a parking ticket before helping him escape. Here's the podcast about it.

I don't know if you guys have looked at her picture, but she looks like someone who could easily be duped to me. I hate to judge a book by its cover, but that's the vibe I get.

We had a prison psychologist in my city who helped an inmate escape and was found with him living in the bush. Like how can you EVER believe that something like that would work out? In what kind of fucked up fairy tale life do you live happily ever after? This woman did two years in prison.

I don't think she willingly helped him. I also believe she's dead.

I feel like she looks just like the other middle aged blonde woman who recently fell for the same thing.

Sociopaths can be very charming. Its not like he was in jail for having a little bit of drugs on him. He killed someone! Also hes huge. I would be terrified if I were her.

Shes probably dead, even if she helped him. He doesnt need her anymore. I get "because love" but what a dumbass move if she helped him.

What an idiot she is/was. I hope she is found safe, but she is dealing with a murderer who is desperate.

I knew she helped him from the beginning. It was a gut feeling. They're on a beach in Mexico right now, but that doesn't mean that he won't get rid of her now that she's fulfilled her purpose for him. She'll likely end up dead at some point.

    The plot thickens......
This came from a journalist that's been all over the case:

Report: Vicky White traveled to meet Casey White in state prison for 2 years

The plot thickens, we know now how those alias may have been used.

It now is reported that FORMER corrections officer Vicky White traveled to meet accused murderer Casey White for up to 2 years.

It stands to reason that she used an alias there and when she bought the 2007 Ford Edge.

Casey White's mother says he had a pen pal but didn't know a name

She also believes he falsely confessed to a murder to be moved from a state penitentiary he did not like.

Several, including some close to the Ridgeway family now think that White and White may have pulled a long game con.

    Someone left this comment:

He is related to her ex-husband. So she’s probably known him quite a while
    Wonder if that's true?

Probably. So perhaps she won't get offed after all. It's possible that he never murdered anyone as well. Just wanted to get transferred to the prison she was working in. Crazy stuff!

2008 case being re-examined in Limestone County; family believes Casey White was involved

The search for former Lauderdale County Assistant Director of Corrections Vicky White, and inmate Casey White has entered its 7th day. As investigators sift through surveillance video and hundreds of tips, WAFF has also learned a 14-year-old case that could be connected to Casey, will now be re-examined.

    Screen Shot 2022-05-05 at 10.01.10 AM.jpg

The case involves Christy Shelton. Her family said they?ve always had questions about Casey White and what role he might?ve played in Christy?s death. They said Christy used to date Casey White, and that Casey was there when Christy was shot in the chest with a sawed-off shotgun. At the time, it was ruled a suicide. However, her family never believed that story and always had doubts.

Michelle Williamson with the Limestone County Sheriff?s Office confirmed Wednesday that investigators are going to re-examine the case.
