Alcoholic ketoacidosis (AKA) is a condition seen commonly in patients with alcohol use disorder or after a bout of heavy drinking. Looks like we are both correct.
Clearly this occurs after a specific episode, but it is generally individuals with chronic alcohol abuse who are impacted.
