Marvase Spell, 25, was last seen leaving his home around 10:45 a.m. Thursday.

Police said that 20 minutes later Spell sent a text message to his mother that said he had been kidnapped and his kidnappers were going to kill him.

Police said Spell is 5 feet, 9 inches, 160 pounds with black hair, a tattoo of a rose on his neck and numerous tattoos on his arms.

He was last seen wearing a black and white Adidas sweatsuit, red knit cap and glasses and was carrying a leopard print backpack.

WILKINSBURG, Pa. — A 25-year-old Wilkinsburg man who sent a text message to his mother saying he had been kidnapped is back home, police said Friday.

According to Wilkinsburg police, Marvase Spell left his home Thursday at about 10:45 a.m. He then texted his mother about 20 minutes later saying he had been kidnapped and “they” were going to kill him.

Police said Friday that Spell returned home and is OK, but further information was not provided.
