ETA: I laugh, but hubby and myself are actually in a couple of client's wills to take their dogs if anything happens to them along with enough money to have them live comfortably.

I have questions... Was this a fedex driver who just said "screw it"? Was it porch pirates dissatisfied with their booty? Lots of Chewy boxes down there, are we talking a gang of roving canines setting aside a stash for winter?

    https://www.kotatv.com/2021/11/26/hu...labama-ravine/
The Blount County Sheriff?s Office said hundreds of missing FedEx packages were thrown into a ravine.

Authorities said 300 to 400 boxes of packages were thrown off of the ravine, WBRC reported.

?There?s a river down by this area, and it was down the ravine, down towards the river. None of the packages made it to the river. The packages are, obviously, have not been there longer than one or two days,? Sheriff Mark Moon said.

FedEx crews arrived Thanksgiving morning to pick up the package, removing them all before 10:30 a.m.

The company said Thursday that they are committed to treating packages with care and are making sure the affected packages make it to their destinations as quickly as possible.

?In addition to cooperating with law enforcement, we are conducting a review of this situation and will take the appropriate action,? FedEx said.

One family who lives nearby is missing four packages, including an Xbox. The family said they work too hard for something this to happen.

?It?s heartbreaking that someone would take advantage of people, when they?re supposed to be delivering kids toys to them for Christmas, and people don?t care and would just drop our hard-earned money ... thousands of dollars worth of things just off in a hole. I don?t see what kind of person can do that,? said Andrea Finchum, who is missing packages.

?The price of everything is going up, and we just sit here and work, work, work trying to take care of our families. And you get stuff like this and it?s kind of a slap in the face, that people don?t have the respect for other people?s goods. They just throw them off in a ditch somewhere,? Chris Finchum said.

Customers can track their packages by visiting http://fedex.com.

Some have been opened and it seems like not just because of the fall. With the number of packages, it has to be a disgruntled driver maybe hoping they'd never get discovered, but maybe someone found them and went through the stuff as well?

I have to think someone was stealing something and trying to cover it up... Whyever would you do all the work of chucking them over the edge? Some of those chewy boxes are freaking heavy! Seems to me, I'd have just parked the truck and walked away. But anyway, odd.

FedEx driver dumped packages at least 6 times into Alabama ravine, sheriff says

Authorities investigating the discovery of hundreds of FedEx packages in an Alabama ravine have questioned the driver they think is responsible -- and believe the driver dumped packages there at least six times, a sheriff said Tuesday.

The investigation began November 24, when sheriff's deputies in northern Alabama's Blount County found 300 to 400 packages in a ravine on private property, the county sheriff's department said.

On Monday, the sheriff said a driver who investigators believed was responsible had been identified and questioned.

Investigators then "determined that the driver dumped at least six times," making FedEx the victim of six property theft cases, Sheriff Mark Moon said in a Facebook post Tuesday.

The name of the driver wasn't released, and no arrest or charges have been announced. The sheriff's office also has not released any information about a suspected motive.

"This will not be an easy or fast case to close. ... I am asking for patience from our citizens as our investigators work through this case," Moon's post reads. FedEx sent workers and trucks to the ravine last week to begin recovering and distributing the packages. The property is about 40 miles outside Birmingham.

The questioned driver "is no longer providing service on behalf of FedEx Ground," FedEx said Tuesday in a prepared statement.

I was going to say, the reason you do that is because you're disgruntled and the job has literally driven you crazy therefore the "chucking" to get your anger out lol.

He can't possibly believe he could have gotten away with that. Like Ang said up there somewhere, it's not like they don't know what drivers have what packages.
