Husband admits killing missing New Hampshire wife inside bus: cops

The husband of a missing New Hampshire woman confessed to killing his wife inside a small bus converted into a living space, state police said.

Joseph Ferlazzo, 41, told investigators Tuesday he killed Emily Ferlazzo, 22, of Northfield, New Hampshire, early Saturday inside the bus they had lived in and used to travel to Bolton late last week, Vermont State Police said in a statement.

Cops later recovered a body believed to be his wife inside the vehicle, which was seized earlier in the day in St. Albans. He was ordered held without bail and is set to be arraigned on a first-degree murder charge Wednesday morning, state police said.

A medical examiner will perform an autopsy to confirm Emily Ferlazzo’s identity and determine how she died.

State troopers found Joseph Ferlazzo at a convenience store in St. Albans and agreed to speak with investigators. The couple’s dog, Remington, was also found unharmed at the home of Ferlazzo’s friend, state police said.

Pennsylvania authorities probe VSP on Ferlazzo, possible cold case connection

    https://www.wcax.com/2021/10/24/penn...se-connection/

We’re learning more about the history Joseph Ferlazzo, the man who police say admitted to killing his wife, Emily Ferlazzo, earlier this week.

We now know his stepmother was murdered in Pennsylvania in 2009, and police haven’t found her killer.

Pennsylvania law enforcement noted the possible connection and reached out to Vermont State Police when they heard of Emily’s death.

Ferlazzo is being held without bail on a first degree murder charge for allegedly killing Emily.

Police say earlier this week, he admitted he shot and dismembered her body in a camper van in Bolton.

Now, Capt. Scott Dunlap, commander of the VSP Major Crime Unit tells us Pennsylvania authorities are asking about the stabbing death of Ferlazzo’s stepmother, Young Hee Lim-Ferlazzo in October 2009.

We asked if Ferlazzo is a person of interest in that cold case, and police wouldn’t comment, as the investigation is still ongoing.
