If you want to be in a segregated and safe place that's to your liking, I might recommend the North Pole. Good riddance.
There is no racism in my statements. I think that all this over kindness (for him), spectacularization (and media attention (for both ) they end up damaging everyone: victims, and families related to ALL missing persons.

I'd rather a killer take our trash out before spending a dime on him behind bars than one that doesn't ever get caught.
If this piece of shit had been placed in custody from the moment he refused to cooperate, everything would have been a little bit less heartbreaking for the families and less expensive for everyone. But he looks so a good boy ? Why?

I don't think the cops even got a chance to question him, he took off.

Well, if we are going to play "if only"

When they encountered police in Utah after bystanders reported a possible DV incidence and the Utah cops shrugged and went on? If this had happened just a few miles down the road in Colorado one or both would have been arrested and would have spent at least 24 hours in jail, would have had to go before a judge, etc. The perceived victim would have had an opportunity to save her/himself. And drive on down the road. They both would have had a chance to cool down and maybe rethink the wisdom of sharing a tin can with someone they'd grown to hate/fear or whatever.

What struck me as absurd from the start of the whole thing is that the cops didn't stop him immediately. it seems incredible, I can?t explaine it.
He come back with her van, without her missing girlfriend, refuses to cooperate and some days ago police were involved for suspected DV. It?s weird. Or maybe it looks to me so strange because I?m not American. In the country where I live cops would have taken him into custody immediately

I dont think anyone knew she was missing/dead when he returned without her besides his parents, and they werent about to turn him in.

And I dont they had enough evidence to charge him with DV. She may have denied it all.

But I see what you are saying. I would also like to think this could have been prevented. Hindsight is always 20/20.

What pissed me off is how much media attention this case got. All missing persons need attention.

I agree. I dont know what level of evidence is needed for arrest. From the first post here I immediately wondered if this person had some kind of privileged status (milionaire or something else). And in the end I concluded that this kind of privileged treatment hurt everyone involved.

There won't be a funeral for Brian Landrie, his family's lawyer reportedly said days after his remains were discovered at a Florida nature reserve.

Claudia Kelly-Bazan, a producer for Fox News, wrote on Twitter that the Laundrie family attorney informed her that there are no plans for a funeral and that Laundrie's body will be cremated and given to his parents.
The Laundrie family is represented by Steven Bertolino, who told Insider's Natalie Musumeci on Friday that Laundrie's remains have been sent to a forensic anthropologist. A cause of death is not yet known.

Florida police reveal huge mistake in search for Brian Laundrie

Florida investigators said this week that they mistook Brian Laundrie’s mom for her son days after Brian Laundrie’s finance, Gabby Petito, was reported missing.

“They are built kind of similarly,” North Port Police Department spokesperson Josh Taylor told CNN affiliate WINK. “No case is perfect”

Police said they saw Laundrie drive away from his home on Sept. 13, in a Mustang. Two days later, the Mustang came home, according to CNN.

Police said they believe Laundrie’s mother, Roberta Laundrie, drove the car home, CNN reports.

The mistake is a crucial one because it made police think Brian Laundrie had been at his home for the days between Sept. 13 and Sept. 15. He was reported missing on Sept. 17 and believed to have left his home on Sept. 14 (that date was later changed to Sept. 13). So the police were already behind the investigation of his whereabouts.

The revelation comes after a monthlong investigation into the whereabouts of Petito and Laundrie. The couple went on a cross-country road trip this summer, but only Laundrie returned to their home in Florida on Sept. 1, driving Petito’s van. Petito was reported missing on Sept. 11. Police started surveillance on Laundrie thereafter.

I really don't know what else it would tell everyone. It's not like every detail hasn't been hashed out in detail in the news every day for the last 2 months.

Autopsy shows Brian Laundrie died by suicide, attorney says

Brian Laundrie died by suicide from a gunshot wound to the head, an attorney for the Laundrie family told CNN on Tuesday.

"Chris and Roberta Laundrie have been informed that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head and the manner of death was suicide," said attorney Steven Bertolino.

CNN has reached out to authorities for further comment, and has followed up with Bertolino regarding how Laundrie came to be in possession of a gun.

I have to admit I was kind of hoping it was Death by Gator.

Experts discuss: If Brian Laundrie shot himself, where is the gun?

There are still many unanswered questions about what happened to Gabby Petito.

It was revealed Tuesday her fianc? and person of interest in her death Brian Laundrie died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, but that raises more questions, including where the gun is.

The District 12 Medical Examiner said weeks after returning home to North Port without Petito, Laundrie took his own life by putting a gun to his head, and pulling the trigger.

The news comes more than a month after search crews found his remains at the Carlton Reserve. Neither the FBI or North Port Police have said whether they recovered the gun.

“If they are saying gunshot wound to the head and suicide, and we don’t have a firearm at that scene, we have a big issue,” Program Coordinator of the Forensic Studies and Justice Program at USF Peter Massey said. “We have to account for this firearm.”

The attorney for the Laundrie family said when Brian’s parents first reported him, they turned over all of their guns, but one was missing. He told 8 On Your Side in a statement, “Chris and Roberta are still mourning the loss of their son and are hopeful that these findings bring closure to both families.”

Massey believes this case will close, and we may never get all the answers.

“Two people know what happened, both of them are now unfortunately deceased, therefore we are never going to come up with an answer, unless there is truly something maybe in that notebook or a recording or something that Brian Laundrie wrote or said to somebody,” Massey said.
    Maybe his parents shot him.

This dude is such a control freak. His death now has to take over the discussion over what he actually did.

He's dead. As he should be after what he did. He did us the favor of not costing us tax money over the horrendous amounts of tax money we already spent trying to find her and him.

What's the flooding like in that preserve area where he was found? Like is it usually just standing water or does it have currents? I guess if there's a strong flow then maybe the gun was the only thing that stayed put & everything else got moved - or maybe it sank into mud that dried over it when the water receded?

Or maybe all those conspiracy theorists were right after all ...
