Former star of Counting On Josh Duggar has been sent to a safer prison even after having been convicted of possessing child pornography. Viewers were not thrilled by the news and thought he would be put into a military-like prison. After a judge sentenced him to 12 years, it looks like Josh's stay behind bars may not be too difficult.https://www.the-sun.com/entertainmen...d-pornography/Followers of the Duggars were outraged as KNWA-TV reported that on June 24, 2022, Josh was transferred out of the Washington County Detention Center to FCI Seagoville, where he will be carrying out his sentence. Even though he is moving in for a while, after his release, Josh will then have 20 years of supervised release, which includes no unsupervised visits with minors like his children. The Texas prison, which Josh Duggar's lawyers requested, is a low-security federal prison for male inmates. According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, it has also earned the reputation for being safe.
The prison was opened in 1938 and is home to 1,900 inmates. Prisoners are housed in two, three, five, and 12-person rooms, and there is one of seven housing units. According to a promotional video shared by Zoukis Consulting Group, the prison has a commissary, GED classes, and recreation programs to help better the offenders. According to the video, most inmates feel safe thanks to the low level of violence. The video even stated that "sex offenders" are safe to walk in the yard.
While the promo video makes the jail look like a holiday retreat, Josh Duggar will still have to get used to living behind bars. Many Counting On fans feel Josh may not be punished for his actions appropriately with such a laid-back institution. If Josh feels that his new home is just a walk in the park, there will be no consequences for his actions, just like when his parents originally sent him off to church therapy.
Josh Duggar slapped with $50K bill from state as he begins 12-year prison sentence for child pornography charges
The Sun can exclusively reveal the former 19 Kids and Counting star has been slapped with a $50,100 lien for restitution by the state in his child pornography case.
When Josh was sentenced in May, he was ordered to pay a lump sum of $50,100 due "immediately."
According to the judgment, if the payment is not paid immediately, "any unpaid financial penalty shall be paid by the defendant during his term of imprisonment at a rate of up to 50% of the defendant's available funds, in accordance with the Inmate Financial Responsibility Program."
This is such bullshit. Sex crimes against kids had got to be THE WORST offense besides Murder. AND he's a multiple offender, yet he's getting a cushy prison and will end up released in no time. Are you fucking kidding me?!
I vote that it's worse than murder. Someone dies, they no longer feel pain. Children that have been subjected to rape and being used for child porn suffer for the rest of their lives. Meanwhile, the offenders suffer little to no consequences.

I cant believe hes been transfered to low security facility. Like Boston said, this is a serious crime.
I read somewhere that Anna is sticking by Josh's side because she needs help with her 7 children. The Duggars cant even take care of thier own children, let alone hers. I wonder if its financial assistance? I still think shes dumber than dog shit.
The only way that he's getting out early is if a president pardons him. I think that federal prison is 80/20. He has to serve at least 80%, but it should depend on the sentence in my opinion. He needs to serve all of that time, and intense counseling. I'm not sure if you can cure people like him though.
