A 22-year-old man accused of sexually molesting a stuffed unicorn and a puffy Disney character will receive a psychological evaluation to determine his mental competence. That hearing, ordered Monday, will take place next month, according to the Smoking Gun.
Cody Meader was arrested in St. Petersburg, Fla., after entering a Target department store in October 2019 and allegedly rubbing his genitals against two stuffed animals ' one of which was a 'large Olaf' doll from the cartoon 'Frozen,' with which he pleasured himself to completion, cops said.
Security video shows the 6-foot-2, 220-pounds man wearing a 'Star Wars' t-shirt and shorts while wandering about the store near a rack of stuffed dolls.
A police report after the incident indicated that a store employee claimed Meader started with the Olaf doll, then 'dry humped' the stuffed unicorn. A later court filing indicates the order of padded toy violations was reversed.
The initial report cited no signs of drug or alcohol use, but a box for mental health issues is checked 'unknown.' Meader is charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief and exposing sexual organs.
Meader confessed to doing 'stupid stuff' after the incident, police reported. His father told cops his son has 'a history of this type of behavior.'
His victims, the stuffed dolls, were destroyed 'due to circumstances.'
