Investigators with the American Fork Police Department hope someone can help them locate a woman who was reported missing earlier this month and is considered potentially endangered.

Kylee Marie Hreinson, 30, was last seen in American Fork on January 3. According to American Fork PD, she left with a man identified as Chad Lapniewski in a blue 2018 four-door Kia Forte with a possible license plate of 0G2XL (state unknown).

Lapniewski has since been in contact with police and is reportedly being cooperative.

Police said Hreinson engaged in a two-minute video call with family members on January 10, and she appeared to have suffered some bruising on her face. Hreinson may have been under duress during the call, and she told her family she would return home that evening, but she did not return, police said.

Hreinson is believed to be in Salt Lake City or the Salt Lake County area. She may also be with an unidentified Caucasian man last seen wearing a University of Utah hat and multiple backpacks, including a University of Utah backpack, who was last seen near 600 S 1300 E in Salt Lake City.

Police said Hreinson is Caucasian, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 130 pounds with brown eyes, brown hair and a thin composure. She was last seen wearing dark clothing, possibly including a dark sweater and dark leggings. Hreinson has pierced ears, including a small loop high on her right ear.

Anyone with information on Hreinson's whereabouts, or who has any further information, is urged to contact Detective Garcia with the American Fork Police Department at 801-763- 3020 or Central Utah 911 Dispatch (801-794-3970) after 6 p.m.

A woman who was reported missing and considered possibly in danger has been found safe, police confirmed Tuesday.

30-year-old Kylee Hreinson, of American Fork, was not being held against her will as her family feared, said Lt. John Christensen with the American Fork Police Department.

Hreinson had not been seen since Jan. 3. Her family last heard from her in a video call on Sunday where they said Hreinson had bruises on her face and appeared to be in danger.

"She did not look OK in any sort of way," Hreinson's sister told 2News on Monday night.

Hreinson was found by American Fork detectives on Tuesday at approximately 5 p.m. in Salt Lake County.

She was not held against her will, Christensen said, writing in a news release that:

At this point, it appears that Hreinson intentionally left her family's home and that the circumstances surrounding her whereabouts during the past several days have also been intentional and voluntary."

The lieutenant said it does not appear any crimes were committed and Hreinson was uninjured.

American Fork Police thanked the public for the many tips and leads they received in Hreinson's missing persons case, noting "it was due to some of these leads that Hreinson was ultimately located."

I wish they all could end this way.
Don't like what I have to say? I respect that. Now go fuck yourself.
