    This doesn't sound good.

Family members of the missing 3-year-old stated that the toddler is the son of a woman who was found dead near the Purple People Bridge Saturday.

Police say Nylo Lattimore has been missing since Dec. 4 and his whereabouts are unknown at this time.

Family members say that 29-year-old Nyteisha Lattimore is Nylo?s mother.

According to an affidavit, 20-year-old Desean Brown stabbed his girlfriend, Nyteisha, with an unknown weapon in the 2600 block of Melrose Ave.

Officers say Nylo is missing from the same residence.

Family members state that since Nyteisha never went anywhere without her son, they are afraid that her son witnessed his mother being killed.

It is unclear as to why Nyteisha was killed.

Court documents say Brown is facing one count of murder.

    Officers are still investigating.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crimestoppers at 513-352-3040.

I was hoping they would find Nylo when they finally arrested Desean, hope this little fellow is still alive, but it's not looking good.

The family of Nylo and Nyteisha Lattimore created an online fundraiser through GoFund Me on Tuesday. The family has raised $735 to help cover funeral and memorial expenses. The overall goal is $10,000.

Family members describe Nyteisha as an "amazing and caring woman with big dreams."

"She could light up an entire room," the description on the GoFundMe account states. "She was taken away from us too early. She was a strong, independent woman and didn't deserve what happened to her. Tisha was an amazing mother, sister, and friend. She touched every life of everyone she met."

Update, 6:15 p.m.: Police are growing more concerned about the disappearance of 3-year-old Nylo Lattimore, Cincinnati Police Lt. Steve Saunders announced Tuesday evening.

"This event with Nylo may involve foul play," Saunders said.

Saunders said these concerns rose after interviewing Desean Brown, 20, who is charged with the stabbing death of Nyteisha Lattimore, Nylo's mother.

"We are concerned greatly for his whereabouts," Saunders said of Nylo.

Saunders said officers have been searching near the Purple People Bridge, where Nylo's mother was found dead last weekend.

"We have searched that area extensively and also used the resources of the of the Hamilton County Police Association Dive Team to search the water's edge along the Ohio River," Saunders said.

Saunders asks anyone who may know of Nylo's whereabouts to anonymously contact CrimeStoppers at 513-352-3040 or the Criminal Investigations Section at 513-352-3542.

Nyteisha Lattimore was found dead nearly a month ago, and despite an arrest and a murder charge, her 3-year-old son is still missing.

According to prosecutors, her boyfriend fatally stabbed her at his Walnut Hills apartment then dumped her body near the Purple People Bridge where it was discovered on Dec. 5.

On Dec. 12, her 3-year-old son Nylo was reported missing to Cincinnati police.

"(Nylo) disappeared under suspicious circumstances," the police report states. "Last known destination and means of travel are unknown."

Tonio Hughes filed the report, which states he is Nylo's father. Hughes told police Nylo had last been seen on Dec. 4.

That same day, Desean Brown was arrested and indicted on a murder charge in Lattimore's death. Prosecutors said Brown was Lattimore's boyfriend.

Prosecutors said Lattimore, who was 29, could have been killed prior to Dec. 5.

Cincinnati police later said they suspect foul play was involved in the toddler's disappearance. The Hamilton County Coroner's Office is performing a forensic analysis of evidence found at the scene.

There were some searches of the river by authorities. Cincinnati police said Nylo's stroller was found near his mother's body.

Since then North Start International, a non-profit search and rescue group, has been organizing searches along the river in case a body is washed ashore.

A number of private Facebook groups have sprung up around the case to discuss what might have happened. #FindNylo has trended on social media.

Nylon has now been missing for a month and nothing new to report. This is the first article that I’ve found though that names the bio-dad. I think I found him on fb but the profile didn’t have anything public about Nylo. Requested to join a few groups to see what’s being said locally.

Deters called a press conference to announce murder charges in the (presumed) death of Nylo.

    CINCINNATI —
A 21-year-old man has now been indicted, accused in the death of 3-year-old Nylo Lattimore and his mother.

Nylo Lattimore is presumed dead, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters said Wednesday.

The 3-year-old boy has been missing since Dec. 4, and investigators have been searching for him since his mother was found stabbed to death along Cincinnati’s riverfront.

The boy’s mother, Nyteisha Lattimore, 29, was stabbed inside of a Walnut Hills apartment on Dec. 5. Her body was found along the banks of the Ohio River near the Purple People Bridge on Dec. 12.

Deters said the woman’s killer purchased a body bag online, then brought her body to the river a week later.

Deters said Wednesday that Nylo Lattimore’s blood was found on a Paw Patrol blanket, recovered with Nyteisha Lattimore's body. The boy’s stroller was also found in the Ohio River.

Exhaustive search efforts for the young boy have turned up empty-handed, and the prosecutor says an investigation revealed he was killed by the same man who killed the boy’s mother.

"In all my years as a prosecutor, I have never seen such a cold-blooded act committed against an innocent woman and her 3-year-old baby," Deters said, announcing the indictment of 21-year-old Desean Brown.

Deters said he believes Brown threw Nylo Lattimore into the Ohio River when he dumped the body of his mother.

The 3-year-old boy’s body has not been recovered.

Brown now faces the death penalty. He has been charged with two counts of aggravated murder with a death penalty specification, one count of gross abuse of a corpse and one count of tampering with evidence.

“Throughout the United States today, there are prosecutors who have chosen to never seek the death penalty,” Deters said. “That’s not going to happen here as long as I am prosecutor for this county.”
Deters mentions they found Nylos blood on a blanket but also says he was thrown into the Ohio river while he was still alive

CINCINNATI — Three-year-old Nylo Lattimore was still alive when his mother's boyfriend dropped him into the Ohio River, days after stabbing the boy's mother to death in their apartment, Hamilton County prosecutors said Wednesday.

After nearly three months of searching for the missing toddler, Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters announced new murder charges against 21-year-old Desean Brown, the man already accused of killing 29-year-old Nyteisha Lattimore in early December 2020.

Prosecutors will seek the death penalty in response, Deters said.

Nyteisha was stabbed to death in her home Dec. 5, according to police. Her body would not be discovered until Dec. 12, when officers found it abandoned on Pete Rose Way in downtown Cincinnati.

Deters said after Nyteisha's death, Brown posted to and communicated with people through Nyteisha's Facebook account, posing as the deceased woman.

Brown let Nyteisha's body sit in her apartment for at least five days before moving it. Brown purchased a body bag on e-Bay, Deters said.

Deters showed a screenshot of Dec. 11 surveillance video that he said depicts Brown carrying Nyteisha's body in the body bag through a hallway in her Walnut Hills apartment building.

Investigators found Nylo’s stroller in the Ohio River near where his mother's body was found but did not immediately declare the child dead; family members expressed hope that Nylo would be found safe.

Although the child’s body had not been recovered by Wednesday afternoon, Deters said police had identified a bloodstain found near Nyteisha’s body as belonging to Nylo.

Deters said investigators believe the boy was still alive when Brown put him into the water.

"It's very hard to believe, at least on a personal level," Deters said during Wednesday's news conference. "This act that he's committed is beyond... I do get upset about it when it involves children. I do."

Deters said investigators believe Brown killed Nylo in an "incredibly barbaric" effort to cover up his involvement in Nyteisha's death.

"He didn't want Nylo's existence traced back to him after he killed Nylo's mother," Deters said. "He made a choice, and he decided that this little boy's life wasn't worth what he had done to the mom and going to prison for the rest of his life.

"I still have nightmares about this," Deters said. "I cannot even imagine what that little boy was going through."
