Alan White, who works for KPMG in Dallas, hasn?t been seen by family and friends since Oct. 22, according to WFAA in Dallas. His family has hired a private investigator and is working with police to look into his disappearance.

Odd Pattern here with executives and financial advisors going missing in a down economy. At least one person so far Chris Burns of Atlanta is wanted by the FBI.

Update the reward money went from $10,000 to $15,000 for the search for James Alan White.

The family of missing KPMG managing director James Alan White has increased the reward from $10,000 to $15,000 for information leading to the Dallas man’s whereabouts. We included the most recent flyer with info about White and photos of him below.

White was last seen leaving an LA Fitness in Dallas the morning of Oct. 22.

Anyone with information about White’s disappearance should call (800) 403-8024 or Dallas police at (214) 671-4268.

Alan White, who works for KPMG in Dallas, hasn’t been seen by family and friends since Oct. 22, according to WFAA in Dallas. His family has hired a private investigator and is working with police to look into his disappearance.

    WFAA reported:

A video camera captured Alan White leaving an LA Fitness on Haskell in Dallas at 5:38 a.m. He had gone there to work out.

Friends say that is the last time anyone saw or heard from him.

“And he was expected on a work call at 7 or 7:30 Thursday morning, so when he did not show up for that everybody instantly assumed that something had gone wrong,” friend Matt Davies said.

Update Reward money increases to $20,000

[Updated on Dec. 2 with LinkedIn post from KPMG Dallas office managing partner.]

No new updates on the whereabouts of KPMG Dallas Managing Director James Alan White, who has been missing since Oct. 22.

One thing I haven’t seen in any of the reporting in Dallas and around the country about White’s disappearance is a comment from KPMG. Everyone outside of the Dallas office has to be aware of what happened, right?

Sure enough, a source from KPMG pointed us to a LinkedIn post about White’s disappearance from Dallas OMP Kim Kesler. We were told the post has been widely shared by firm leaders across the U.S.

    Kesler wrote:

KPMG is deeply concerned about our friend and colleague, Alan White, who went missing on October 22nd in Dallas. We are working with local authorities and in touch with Alan’s family to provide all the support that we can. We hope Alan will be found safe and well soon and our thoughts are with his family and loved ones. If you have any information that may help lead to his whereabouts, please call the Dallas Police Department at 214-671-4268 or the tip hotline at 800-403-8024.

[Updated on Nov. 24 with new information and new “endangered missing person” flyer.]

It’s now been over a month since KPMG Managing Director James Alan White disappeared in Dallas after an early morning workout at an LA Fitness. Surveillance footage from a nearby RaceTrac gas station showed White putting gas in the Porsche Macan SUV he was driving after he left LA Fitness on Oct. 22. He then drove away, supposedly to head back home for a 7 a.m. work call. But he never made it home.

Dallas police found the black Porsche loaner car White was driving about a week later, but White is still nowhere to be found. According to an NBC News article that was published yesterday about White’s disappearance, the loaner car was found 10 to 15 miles away, in the opposite direction of White’s house.

A couple of new things have happened since the end of last week:

Dallas police have upgraded the case from a “want to locate” to an “endangered missing person,” but have not provided additional details because of the active investigation.
White’s family has increased the reward for information regarding White’s whereabouts from $15,000 to $20,000. A new “endangered missing person” flyer (see below) was also released with information about White.
Anyone with information about White’s disappearance should call (800) 403-8024 or Dallas police at (214) 671-4268.

[Updated on Nov. 9 with gas station security camera footage of James Alan White.]

Nothing new to report today on the whereabouts of missing Dallas KPMG Managing Director James Alan White; however, his family released footage on Nov. 5 of White putting gas in the black Porsche Macan loaner car he was driving on the morning of his disappearance. White is seen at the gas station at 5:47 a.m. on Oct. 22, after he left an LA Fitness reportedly at 5:38 a.m. In the gas station surveillance camera footage, White is wearing a red tank top, even though the “missing person” flyer (below) says he was last seen wearing a light gray tank top with dark gym shorts.

ORIGINAL POST:Dallas police said they couldn’t comment on any new evidence that led them to reclassify Alan White’s disappearance to ‘endangered missing person.’

About a week ago, a new video emerged of White pulling gas in his car at the RaceTrak gas station on Inwood Road at Maple Avenue. In it, he is wearing a red tank top rather than the gray tank he was wearing about 15 minutes earlier when he left LA Fitness, but his family confirmed that was him.

From the gas station, he drove north toward his home rather than south toward Oak Cliff where the car was found.

    On its blog, DPD wrote:

On October 22, 2020, the Dallas Police Department Youth Operations received a Missing Person report regarding James Alan White. The report was originally documented as a “Want To Locate” on case number 188623-2020. Due to recent developments in the investigation, the report has been changed from a “Want to Locate” to an “Endangered Missing” person.

The Youth Operations Unit is in charge of the investigation. Detectives are actively investigating all workable leads into the report of Mr. White. Detectives are also actively communicating with Mr. White’s family. If anyone has any additional information regarding Mr. White, we ask that they contact the Dallas Police Department Youth Operations at 214-671-4268 or by email at missingpersons@dpd.dallascityhall.com.

DALLAS - In this week’s Trackdown, police are not searching for a murder suspect, but for a missing man.

James Alan White hasn't been seen since he was caught on tape nearly two months ago.

He was last seen on October 22, buying gas for his 2019 black Porsche Macan at the RaceTrac at 2506 Inwood, and he’s now listed as an endangered person.

Dallas PD Det. Eric Barnes is hoping the public can help find White.

“He pumps gas into his vehicle, he goes in the store, after exiting the store, he gets in his vehicle and he drives off the parking lot. At that point, there's no one in the vehicle with him,” Det. Barnes explained. “The pressing thing is we want is to get Mr. White home safely to his family.

Police said they found his vehicle about a week later in the 5800 block of Kitty Street.

That’s more than 15 miles from where White bought gas, and was last seen.

“This vacant lot is a very secluded area, and it’s known by the people in Highland Hills and it’s known by the Dallas Police Department,” Barnes said.

Police said the vehicle was parked between two sections of bushes, and the keys were inside.

The vehicle was searched, but police didn’t find any clear evidence inside.

“Crime Stoppers is offering their typical $5,000 reward for this investigation, but there is a private fund that’s donated up to $20,000 for information leading to the discovery of Mr. White,” Det. Barnes said.

[REPORTER: “So that hopefully will give somebody incentive to do the right thing.”]

“Exactly, that would be a good Christmas present for someone,” Barnes responded.

There is a big reward of more than $20,000 to help find what happened to James Alan White.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Eric Barnes at 214-283-4818.

That airline executive, too. Did they ever find him?

. Dallas Police said they are waiting for test results to come back from SWIFS, Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences, in the Alan White case. LGBT police liaison officer Chelsea Geist said they’re also waiting on warrants. She said a separate warrant is required for Apple and then for each application on his cell phone.

“It is a very difficult and time-consuming process unfortunately,” she said.

White went missing on Oct. 10. After leaving L.A. Fitness CityPlace, he was caught on video putting gas in his car the the RaceTrac station on Maple at Inwood in Oak Lawn. Cameras caught him leaving the station going north toward his home, but the car was later recovered in South Dallas. There’s been no trace of him since.

Geist said as of now, there are no new leads and no witnesses have come forward, but she encouraged anyone with information to contact the detective on the case, Detective Eric Barnes at 214-283-4818 or by email at eric.barnes@dallascityhall.com. Reference case #188623-2020.

I wonder how far he was found from his car? If it was far, that would be strange....did he walk off somewhere and commit suicide?

I guess if someone killed him and stole his car, then that could make sense, too.
