LAWRENCEBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) ' Kentucky State Police are investigating the death of a mother and daughter at the hands of the woman's son Thursday night near Lawrenceburg.
Troopers say they were contacted just before 9:30 p.m. Thursday about the deaths on Corinth Road in Anderson County.
Troopers say they found found 33-year-old Tefani Noe, of Lawrenceburg, and 12-year-old Brooke Goggin, of Lawrenceburg, dead at the scene. Both died from gunshot wounds, Anderson County Coroner Dr. Mark Tussey said. He pronounced them both dead shortly after 11 p.m. and spent most of the night helping process the scene.
Troopers later located a juvenile in Jefferson County in connection with the case. The teen, thought to be Roe's son and Coggin's brother, was taken into custody without incident and charged with two counts of murder ' domestic violence, troopers said.
The victims have been transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Louisville for an autopsy.
The Anderson County School District offered condolences to the family ad said its counselors were supporting students.
'We are devastated at the tragic loss of Brooke and her mother, Ms. Noe,' said Superintendent Sheila Mitchell, according to the Anderson News. 'Brooke was a wonderful young lady and she will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this very sad time. Our schools are providing support and grief counselors for students, parents and staff.'
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by KSP Post 12 Detective Tyler Hunter
He was assisted on scene by additional Post 12 personnel, the Anderson County Coroner, Anderson County Sheriff's Office, Anderson County EMS, Anderson County Fire Department, Anderson County Animal Control, and the Lawrenceburg Police Department.

ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) ' Police have arrested man accused of murder in Anderson County following a police chase.
According to our ABC affiliate WHAS, the high-speed chase started on I-64, then I-264 where it ended near Breckinridge Lane in Jefferson County.
The suspect is a teenager who allegedly killed his mother and sister on Corinth Road, according to the Anderson News.
FBI Louisville reports they, along with SWAT and other agencies, assisted.
