Pa. Rape Suspected Arrested in a Lion Costume

SOLON, Ohio (AP) - June 21, 2007 - Here's an arrest U.S. Marshals can roar about.

They nabbed a Pennsylvania rape suspect yesterday while the man was working outside a northeast Ohio cell phone store wearing a lion costume.

Marshals say 39-year-old James Wagner of Canonsburg had been on the run for more than two years, wanted on charges of raping and impregnating a girl in Pennsylvania.

Marshals received a tip that Wagner was working at a cell phone store in the Cleveland suburb of Solon, where he stood outside in a lion suit trying to lure people inside.

Marshals went to the store yesterday and arrested their costume-wearing suspect after a struggle.

Wow, that's gotta hurt his pride. I bet he's going to be preying for forgiveness. I wonder if he'll confess or keep a-lion about it.

What kind of cell phone company uses a lion as bait? Doesn't that seem counterproductive?
