I suffer from migraines pretty regularly, I used to take Excedrin Migraine and it would work well without side effects. Well its been recalled and off shelves for like 6 months so I finally got a real prescription from my doctor for migraine meds. (Also I have tried the non name brand excedrin and for some reason it doesnt work for me, I dont understand thats but whatever)
Anyway, the side effect I'm getting from this med is to feel nauseous and kind of a weird burning feeling in my head... super suck. Better than the migraine so I still take it.
I'm currently waiting to hear back from my doc to see if I can try something else...

I hope they get Excedrin back on the market soon for your sake, migraines suck. I can't take Excedrin and man does imitrex make me want to hurl. hopefully you won't have to suffer to long.

That stuff is so damn hard on the body. Then there are those people that can take it no problem...what gives? I do hope your migraines lessen and go away altogether.
I used to use the Imitrex injections for my headaches and they would make me throw up every single time. Good stuff though. I miss it

do you drink coffee? if you have a cup when you take the meds it might help the nausea some. migraines actually cause the muscles in your stomach to act weird and make you nauseous. caffeine helps that, which is one reason excedrin works. my docs prescribed a nausea drug to take with them which actually helps the meds work. my new neuro also told me to take aleve with the triptans, nausea meds, and coffee.
i hope they don't trigger rebounds for you. good luck lady. migraines are the fucking worst evar.

I've NEVER felt nauseous with a migraine before, I know some people have been known to puke with them but mine is usually just full on pain. (I'm not a big puker anyway)
So this side effect sucks, I was actually out visiting my friends brand new baby. (started feeling icky on the way there, when we left I realized I should take the meds, which I keep with me)
So I stopped at a friends house and closed my eyes for a while. Migraine went away eventually then the yucky burny nauseous feeling came on.
ugh, I really really hope excedrin comes back soon, I check every time I'm at the store.
oh! and you mentioned the rebounds, ever since I've used this med I actually feel like my migraines are coming on more often.
I would usually have them possibly once a week (but not always) take excedrin and feel better (only once in a while that wouldnt work).
I've have had at least one each weekend, and this one was on friday which means it was closer to the last one (an all day one from sunday night to monday night)

i'm a fan of the walgreens version as well.
It is because prescription painkillers may have gotten mixed in. if you have no issues with those then dont stress.Damn, I'm glad my migraines are seasonal

If you drink regularly, take it easy on the excedrin (anything with acetaminophen), especially after drinking. That shit alone takes a toll on our favorite organ.
I'm attending a conference at the end of the month and they still haven't posted the schedule. I fly home on Sunday so if I'm scheduled for that day, it's basically a waste of three days + money.

i went in there and had my schedule fixed. they were trying to make me put off one of my pre-reqs which would put me further behind since there is a long waiting list to get into nursing.
i've found throughout my college experience that you have to talk to students and instructors to get any real answers and avoid the fucking run-around.
i'm actually happy i made the trip out there, i ran into an old friend i hadn't seen in nearly a decade and we had a great convo with my old/favorite instructor and he said some really flattering things about me.ooops, wrong thread.
