Other countries aren't my immediate concern, this one is. I am going to look into what I can do to get stiffer sentences for them. I am just horrified every time I look up my zip on the registries and see dudes convicted of raping a child under 12 living 2 blocks from me.

Understandable, But on the other hand your issue are not an immediate concern for me.

The issue remains the same, molesters and rapists are an issue that should get harsher punishments.

I still think we should go old school with it. Cut the hand off/ or brand  someone who does that to a child or a person. So when they walk in a room everyone knows what they did.

Sure maybe the guy in my hood might not be a concern, but what about the guy in yours? We are the UNITED States of America, so what affects me, should affect you in some way. Do you have kids? How old will they be before, you're not worried about them playing in the back yard alone?

As to punishment.... barbarism sounds lovely, but it's unrealistic. I think a life sentence without parole would be more acceptable.

This is correct alex. Childern are a concern to me. They will soon be a work force, politicians, president of the USA. They will determine what happens to use when we grow old and hope they make the right choices for the next generation.

I don't know what I would do if my precious cousins are hurt in the manor we are talking about. I would probably... nah lets just say I would beyond pissed. I would want to find the fucker and kill him.

Just being sick.  I've been sick for the past few days...it's that time so maybe.  But my friend does not help. She emails me news of her other friend who got pregnant after her husband had been snipped.  It grew together again and he didn't do sperm checks.

I will not be pregnant again.  I will adopt out to the best mom I can find.
