I love Portland. A lot. Strippers, beer, rain, liberals, mountains, ocean, beautiful scenery, great food scene, voodoo donut... but we also have hipsters and bicyclists, so you have to decide if it's worth it. Put a bird on it.

i love portland. i learned before i visited that they have more strip clubs per capita than any other city in the nation. i made a male stripper pick up a dollar bill with his ass the first night i was there. i wanna lives there.

The daycare where I work opened today for the first time after 6 weeks of vacation. Lots of new children, and a few mothers just wouldn't leave because their kid started crying the minute they walked away. They don't speak a word of english or dutch so it's difficult to make it clear that they should just go. I tried, but I was basically ignored. I get that it's hard to leave your kid like that. But I don't get that it's so hard to understand that they'll have to learn sometime, and that staying or coming back every 10 minutes is just annoying and doesn't help at all.
