When I wash all my clothes and have them in a pile ready to pack and then spill diet coke all over them and have to wash them again and we don't own a tumble dryer and I need to pack today! :2angry:

When people don't get that I don't get empty nest syndrome. I mean after you've been raising your kids for a certain period of time they move out. It's the way it's suppose to work. It's not like they die and you never see them again. They just live elsewhere. I can't wait to have an empty nest. Why does that make me a bad mom in the eyes of some people? :?

When I saw that you'd posted in this thread, I thought you were going to be complaining about that candy not being available yet. Hahaha! :-P
Anyone who says onions make you cry has clearly never been hit in the face with a turnip.

You are not bad people. I feel the same way! I am ready to get them out of my house! I have one who is a senior in high school this year. He has picked out his college campus visit days for the end of the year. Now he just needs to make sure he picks a college that is not within driving distance. HAHA!
My younger one is a junior in high school who says he is not going to college and he loves me so much he plans to live with me until he is 40. Uuuum No!
My ex-husband coming over to "visit" our daughter, but instead taking a nap in my guest room. :x
The way co-workers reorganize cabinets and other stuff. And not tell you about it so when you look for something important it's not there anymore. :hitwitrock:

:-) No, of course it doesn't make you a bad mom - at least not in my eyes. I never understood empty nest syndrome either. Until my nest was empty. No kidding, I used to tease my kids, count down the months until their 18th birthday and shit. And then one day they were gone and I found myself crying over it! Don't know how to explain it, but there it was: Empty Nest Syndrome. Don't get me wrong, I didn't grieve for long, just found it incredibly sad for a while. Now I'm happy again and I miss my kids, but I'm glad they're on their own.

dtta's me...when guys try to get me to pick songs on the jukebox or give me money to pick music. I don't know why, but it annoys me. I don't wanna pick out music for people to listen to. Pick your own damn music. The other night some guy gave me money and told me to pick songs. I told him I didn't want to but he insisted and kept on me about it. On top of it all I was extremely moody/bitchy and in the process of talking to some one and was a little annoyed he was interrupting. so I went down the music list and played anything I recognized, whether it was bad or not. The first song was that cheating song by Carrie Underwood. haha! He got pissed about that one for some reason *shrug* I think there was some Violent Femmes in there as well which also pissed him off, though I'm not sure why. meh, whatever.

That's a guy way of hitting on a girl. He was hoping you'd pick out something sexy or romantic and then he'd ask you to dance and compliment you on your good taste.

yea I've never been good at all that hitting on, courtship, woo-ing crap...I don't like trying to interpret all the signs/signals and whatever. Most of the time the whole process annoys me or makes me feel uneasy. Probably becuz most of the time I'm just not interested. Guys should pretty much just not even try with me or have the balls to come right out and say it and be prepared for an insta-shut down.

I agree. It's a lot of mind games, even if it's light hearted, and opens too many doors to a good ego bruising (obviously). Life is so much better when people aren't emotional pussies and just make things obvious. :)

I just hate the whole interpretation process. I don't feel like over analyzing every goddamn move a guy makes as a potential come-on. I usually just take things literally or laugh it off as saracastic, which often leaves people thinking I'm all naive n' clueless n' shit. Or a bitch I suppose. whatever. ugh! I wanna punch someone just thinkin' about it.
grrrr

Yeah. People should come with disclaimers. "Will probably drug your drink" "Only looking for something meaningful." "Don'tlookatmyzitsdon'tlookatmyzitsdon'tlooka tOMGYOULOOKED" and my personal favorite "I can't believe they are still talking. Smile and nod; sex will eventually come."

I am counting the days I can go from a four bedroom to a three bedroom! Then a three bedroom to a two bedroom. I have about 60 days for a three bedroom and about 756 days till a two bedroom! Yahoo!
The people down the street that will NOT put their dog on a leash and keep him in their yard. He's a pit bull, gentle enough when he comes into my yard, but my male dog doesn't like it. He tries to crash through the screen! He's going to make it someday and there's going to be blood.
Goddamn it I keep my two dogs in the yard, you can do it too. The dog came thisclose to being hit in front of my youngest kid. I hate to be the neighbor that calls the township, but I'm not going to have a dogfight in my fucking yard.
FUCK YOU NEIGHBOR! Do I call the township or not? YOU make the call. I really don't want him to end up in a shelter and end up dying. But I don't want him to get hit by a car either. We've taken the dog to their house several times and tried being polite about it, like "ya, I have a boy dog and he's not liking another dog in his territory"
