Um.....there's a lot to digest here.
So it wasn't a bucket list trip? Why leave the phones behind? Does Alexis think she'll still have a job?
Why the dogs? Were the dogs preaching, too?

That "spread the gospel" story sounds like a load of BS. I believe that Angela was sick and tired of being sick, so they went somewhere that would let her die in peace. Unfortunately, a lot of people frown upon assisted suicide, so this way Angela gets to look like a wonderful god-fearing woman til the end.
Or, really anything else could have happened besides her having some mystical vision of sleeping inside their car in the Walmart parking lot so they could preach in Nebraska.
A brain tumour could cause visions.
He was probably still in bed but heard them up and moving about the house. This is my home every day because I sleep in and hubby is an early riser.
Absolutely. In the month before he died of a brain tumour, my atheist friend thought he was G*d. He wanted his friends to write down the things he said to them because they would "reveal the Truth" and "all [would] be clear" after his death. It was really sad. Alexis seems like a sweet young lady (if somewhat naive), since they were so religious to begin with, I could see her going along with her mother on this.
You are talking to a woman who has laughed in the face of death, sneered at doom and chuckled at catastrophe.
...Collector of Chairs. Reader of Books. Hater of Nutmeg...
When I commented that, it was in response to I thought he said he heard them in the home AFTER they went missing. Like they showed back up and walked around the house. Which I thought was super creepy.
Didn't realize he was talking about when they left, he heard them. Fail.

The Sarpy County Medical Examiner's Office told FOX 13 that Angela died from a pulmonary embolism, which is caused by a blood clot.
