So today is my birthday and I have an ask for everyone out there. If you know anybody who is a potential drug user or who takes drugs, even if only occasionally and casually, especially young people (that?s anyone under the age of 50 in my book) PLEASE talk to them about the danger of fentanyl.
A little over two weeks ago my son, Nicholas Stadmiller
, died after taking a pill he thought was ecstasy. His friend who brought the drugs over almost died but survived.
We still don?t know exactly what was in the drugs but we suspect fentanyl. Four other people died of fentanyl poisoning in Manhattan Beach where Nick lived that same night.
My son took a stupid risk and lost the rest of his beautiful life. He was super smart, accomplished, funny, creative, and warm, and had a ton of people in his life who loved him. His death broke so many hearts, especially that of his younger brother.
Nothing will bring my son back. But if everyone talks to the people they know about this story and explains how a 41-year-old lawyer who had a good and promising life died in minutes from something he took in a mystery pill and how it happens all the time, then something positive will be the result.
Fentanyl is laced not just in pills but apparently in many drugs these days, even marijuana.
So please share and hopefully some other young man or woman won?t end up dying needlessly, leaving their family and friends heartbroken.
Thank you❤️❤️
