"Richard Edison Johnson was charged with attempted murder and willful injury after Elizabeth A. Alwine was bludgeoned with a hammer March 5 at Lend-A-Hand, a downtown retirement home, 401 W. 3rd St., where both lived.
Mrs. Alwine, who is legally blind, was hit at least 10 times -- four times in the head -- and received several stitches at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus."
He is 76 and she is 81. I just can't even find the words. I guess you're never too old to be a criminal. He was found guilty of attempted murder, a mandatory 25 year sentence.
