A 28-year-old man died Tuesday night an hour after he was shot in southeast Fort Worth during an altercation with another man, authorities said.
Korey Ervin was shot in his chest at his residence in the 4700 block of Willow Springs Road, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner?s Office said.
Ervin was shot about 6:45 p.m. and was pronounced dead about 7:45 p.m. at John Peter Smith Hospital.
Ervin was involved in a verbal argument and then a physical altercation with a man before he was shot, Fort Worth police said. The victim?s wife called authorities and reported the shooting.
The assailant left the scene, and police did not announce his arrest Wednesday.
Police declined to say whether Ervin was indoors or outside when he was shot.
