I love a happy ending! But once again, I have a bazillion questions that the article doesn't answer.

Hope they keep an eye on the parents. This has happened more than once. Probable neglect?

Maybe. Maybe not. One of my cousins, one of 4 kids, "ran away" from home for the first time at 18 months old. Managed to get out of his bedroom and hit the road. Kid must have been brought home by the police a dozen times before kindergarten. Never really did stop taking off. Folks finally just quit looking when he was 17 or so. None of his siblings did this. Just Steve.
