Jasminda Suarez (37) missing from Port Richmond, Staten Island, NY since 3/27/2020

A Staten Island mother mysteriously disappeared nearly three weeks ago and her family fears the worst because they believe she never would have abandoned her 2-year-old son.

Jasminda Suarez, 37, was last seen leaving her residence on Simonson Place in Port Richmond on March 27 at about 9:30 p.m., according to a previous statement from the NYPD?s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information.

Her sisters, Jennie and Stefanie Rivera, said that Suarez was staying at their mother?s house in Port Richmond on the night she disappeared. Suarez left, saying that she was going to a deli near her home, and that?s the last time she was seen by family.

She was wearing a dark shirt, pink pajama pants with little snowflakes and a green coat, according to Jennie.

The family checked with the deli workers and they didn?t remember seeing Suarez on that night.

?We just want our sister back,? Jennie said. ?Something happened, there is no way possible that she would disappear. She has a 2-year-old boy. Easter is her favorite holiday, there was no phone call, nothing.?

Jasminda moved to Staten Island from Bensonhurst about four years ago and was home full time with her son.

People with information are encouraged to contact the NYPD?s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-8477 (TIPS) or for Spanish, 1-888-577-4782 (PISTA). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577. All calls are strictly confidential.

A 37-year-old woman reported missing last month by her family has been located, according to an NYPD spokeswoman.

“We’re all crying and laughing at the same time,” said her sister, Jennie, upon learning her Jasminda had been found. “I can’t even believe it right now.”

A law enforcement source said Suarez was located at a hotel, alive and safe.
