Good question though I've seen people at Planet Fitness wearing jean shorts to work out in. Planet Fitness might be a "judgment free" zone, but I'm definitely judging!

Did a little snooping on Facebook and found the page for Park County Sheriff's Office, Montana. When someone asked what happened to Res, the admin of the page had this to say:

"Please rest assured, if the public had any reason to be concerned for their own safety that would have been addressed long before now. Again, thank you for all of the support."

I would venture to guess that this young man died of suicide. The comment from the sheriff's office, leaving without a cell phone, and the vague articles post-discovery certainly point to that outcome.

That was the first thing I thought. He was not going for a run. Drug deal?

I'm betting he took his life due to the vague wording referred to above - some families worry about the stigma while LE/media are concerned about a domino effect. I wonder if he hung himself??

A family friend posted, "I pray you find answers." I'd go with suicide. Family appears religious, also

A couple people were basically fileted on the Sheriff's page for saying he likely ended his life. So I will go with that too. Very sad. I was only a little older than Res when I tried. I wish this is something more of us could all talk about more openly and honestly.
