MACON, Ga. -- The Bibb County Sheriff?s Office is investigating a fatal accident that happened around 4:35 p.m. Monday on Embassy Ct.

According to the sheriff's office, witnesses on scene told deputies that a woman pulled into her driveway, then fell exiting her vehicle, which rolled backwards over her.

The victim was transported to Coliseum Northside Hospital where she passed away from injuries sustained in the accident. She's been identified as 84-year-old Joan Bennett.

According to witnesses, the vehicle was running and in gear when the accident happened. No one else was inside or near the vehicle and no one else was injured.
