    Concerts

I thought this might be fun. Tell us what concerts you have been to, and any that you want to go to in the future.

As long as I don't get made fun of...lol.

Christina Aguilera in 2000, Backstreet Boys in 2001.

I also went to a concert a local radio station held, where they had a bunch of people perform. I remember Enrique Iglesias was there haha.

I am not much of a concert person. If I go to see someone "famous" it's usually a comedian. I have seen the Impractical Jokers, Nick Swardson, DL Hughley, George Lopez, Cedric the Entertainer, and I think his name is Steven Lynch (he is the one who sings parody stuff, my husband used to love his shit and dragged me along. It pretty much sucked).

NSYNC came to my highschool and sang in our auditorium so thats kind of a concert. It was amazing.

Lets see, I went to a couple of One Earth concerts and saw Everclear, and Puddles of mudd.

I saw 98 degrees and BareNaked Ladies in concert.

I always want to see Foo Fighters and Red Hot Chili Peppers in concert.

    (dont make fun of me)

Holy shit BWS! Im jealous about Alanis. I know every word to every song on her first album.

I forgot I did see the Dixie Chicks for my 18th birthday, and the Goo Goo Dolls, Jars of Clay, and Third Eye Blind were at one of the One Earth Party concerts I went to.

As far as comedy goes, I saw Daniel Tosh waaaay before he became famous. I have also seen John Clease and Eric Idle from Monty Python.

Ang, you and I have some similar taste in music. I would love to see RHCP in concert and I really like Puddle of Mud and Everclear.

My first concert was Reba. Don't laugh. My mother thought concerts were the work of the devil and I only got to go because it was country and the cop and his wife that I babysat for took me. She thought he would be a good influence. Little did she know.

These are the concerts I have seen since I got married (I will list them in the order I saw them, so some of them will be more than once):

    Rush
    YES
    YES/Allen Parsons Project
    Paul McCartney
    Matchbox 20/Everclear/Lifehouse
    Peter Gabriel
    Don Henley
    Train/Mat Kearney
Big Head Todd and the Monsters/Toad the Wet Sprocket
Big Head Todd and the Monsters
    The Monkees
    YES
    Jon Anderson
    Rick Wakeman
    The B52's/OMD/Berlin
    Phil Collins

I loved going to One Earth Party's at Sawyer Point. My dad insisted on going with me, but we would be in the front and he would be way in the back. It was outside, so we would always be smoking cigs and drinking from flasks. I met a future boyfriend there I would date on and off for 4 years.

I found this old link for one of them:

    https://www.last.fm/festival/722077+...h+Party/lineup

Ps at 14 I was a baaaad kid

One of the best moments of my life was when me and my friends were seperated and heard the beggining of this song, and immediately found each other, got on our dudes shoulders and sang our heart out.

I remember clearly seeing the joy on my guy friends face from across the concert and how excited we were.

Thanks! My mom (who was a hippie) was a firm believer in exposing us to music. She made sure we were fully funded whenever we wanted to go to a concert. I was in her womb when she saw the Rolling Stones and the Grateful Dead.

I?ve only been to a handful of concerts but I just went (last month) to see New Kids On The Block, Salt N Pepa, En Vogue and Rick Astley.

I?ve been to Mark Chestnutt, Clint Black, Jay Z, Katy Williams and a couple radio station concerts that have a mix of people.

Bruno Mars is totally on my bucket list.

Too many to count but some memorable concerts include: BB King, George Thorogood, Glenn Campbell, The Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Charlie Daniels, Foreigner, Chuck and Gap Mangione, and many orchestras

Sorry, I'm just now seeing this. I think he was okay. I can't remember. I might've seen him twice in concert.

I got tickets to Garbage/Metric for my birthday in June. There was a horrible storm that day and several wrecks and traffic was at a standstill for hours (no way to even move to get off the road) on the Interstate between Orlando and Tampa. We missed the concert. I'm still salty about it.

I loved Garbage back in the day. I'd be salty too.

I usually skip concerts these days because it's too expensive and people can be dicks. The last one I went to was Rush with their final show in Los Angeles.

I DO have tickets to see the Werq The World tour from Ru Paul's Drag Race in Dublin this October. I splurged and bought the M&G too. Can't wait!

That sounds awesome! I am not into concerts any longer. Agree, people can be dicks and simply don't want to be around thousands of of them.

Exactly. Concerts are expensive AF these days and WAY too peoplely for me. I would make an exception for Rush, but that will never happen again. Sadly

I am trying to figure out who I would make an exception for. It used to be Stevie Nicks, but I have seen her in her "prime" and it's just not the same. Maybe Goo Goo Dolls in an acoustic setting (saw them do that before and it was amazing).
