Odin Lloyd, 27 was found shot to death at an industrial park about a half-mile from Aaron Hernandez?s house in North Attleboro, Mass.

New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez was partying at a Boston bar Sunday night with the friend who was later found shot to death, according to reports.

Hernandez, victim Odin Lloyd, 27, and two other pals were at the watering hole and left together in one car, according to FOX 25 Boston. Hernandez was driving.

But only three made it home, the station reported.

Monday night, Lloyd was found shot to death at an industrial park about a half-mile from Hernandez?s house in North Attleboro, Mass., officials said.

A law-enforcement source told the station that Hernandez appears to be directly tied to the homicide ? though he has not been named a suspect.

The tight end defiantly clammed up to cops yesterday and is refusing to cooperate with the investigation, according to WBZ-TV.

The victim is a 5-foot-11, 215-pound linebacker for the semi-pro Boston Bandits and had been dating the sister of Hernandez?s girlfriend, according to WBZ.

    The Patriots declined to comment.

Hernandez strolled past about 100 reporters gathered near his house yesterday afternoon and didn?t answer questions.

Source: Patriots' Hernandez likely to be arrested

BOSTON -- New details surfaced late Wednesday night further tying Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez to the investigation of a homicide of a Boston man. Hernandez's involvement in the case is significant enough that a source with knowledge of the investigation said that Hernandez's arrest is likely. It is not yet known what he would be charged with.

Boston's Fox 25 News, citing an anonymous source, reported on Wednesday night that forensic evidence linked a vehicle driven by Aaron Hernandez at the crime scene. The television station also reported that Hernandez was with the homicide victim, Odin Lloyd, at a Boston bar the night of his death. A jogger found Lloyd's body in an industrial park a mile from Hernandez's North Attleboro, Mass., home on Monday.

Sports Illustrated reported that the link between Hernandez and the case was a rented Chevrolet Suburban with Rhode Island plates that police had been searching for. The Associated Press could not independently confirm the report.

Lloyd's neighbor Larry Connors said a black Suburban with Rhode Island license plates was towed out of the yard of Lloyd's house after his body was found. Lloyd had been driving it for a few days, but Connors had never seen it before that.

Neighbor Paul Sandefur, a retired transit police officer, said he had known Lloyd since he was in diapers and was at a loss to explain what might have led to his death.

"He'd tease me about coming over to play basketball because I used to tell all the kids I could beat them," Sandefur said. "He was an exceptional kid. It's just inconceivable that something would happen to him."

Both neighbors thought Lloyd worked in construction, and neither knew of any connection between him and Hernandez.

Bandits coach Olivier Bustin, who last saw Lloyd on Saturday at a team scrimmage and heard on Tuesday he had been killed, said he never knew him to be in trouble.

"He was a personable guy, just a guy who was well-liked by everybody on the team," said the coach, who said Lloyd didn't start but played a big role on defense.

Lloyd's sister, Olivia Thibou, said her brother always had her back.

"And, you know, it's just tough that he's not here," she said. "As my mom said, just give us our time to grieve. And I hope that they find out who did it."

Police believe Lloyd was killed between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. Monday, but his well dressed body was not found until 5:30 p.m. by a teenage jogger, several law enforcement sources told ABC News on the condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to discuss the case.

State Police searched the Hernandez home that he shares with his girlfriend Shayanna Jenkins, the mother of his infant daughter, with a warrant several times. Hernandez was seen going inside the house Wednesday with his mother and has not emerged since.

Jenkins' sister, Shanea Jenkins, was dating Lloyd, who played for the semi-pro football team Boston Bandits, several law enforcement sources told ABC News.

Shanea Jenkins could not be found in the aftermath of her boyfriend's murder, and investigators were concerned for her safety. Police were able to locate her Wednesday, the sources said.

Investigators have also searched three Enterprise rental cars that were registered to the NFL star, including one that had its silver mirror knocked off. That vehicle, sources said, was recovered at an Enterprise location in Boston Wednesday, a day after police issued a BOLO [Be On The Lookout] for it. The sources said it had been dropped off abruptly sometime Tuesday with the broken mirror.

Another rental vehicle was recovered not far from Lloyd's body. A third rental was stopped from pulling out of Hernandez's driveway Tuesday by state police and its two occupants were questioned and released. Police were seen searching that car Tuesday night.

In another development in the case, ABC News has learned from investigative sources that Hernandez had partied with Lloyd at a Boston nightclub Friday night into Saturday morning. Police reviewed surveillance video Wednesday that was taken at that club.

Aaron Hernandez Destroyed Home Security System and Phone, Sources Tell ABC News

Police plan to go back to the home of New England Patriot's tight end Aaron Hernandez today with another warrant based on evidence that "he destroyed his home security system,'' an investigator close to the case told ABC News.

The investigator, and other law enforcement sources, confirmed that the security system - which included video surveillance - was smashed intentionally.

And a cell phone used by Hernandez was handed over to investigators "in pieces'' by his attorneys, the sources said.

Police also want to know why a team of house cleaners were hired on Monday to scrub Hernandez's mansion, sources told ABC News.

The revelations come as multiple sources tell ABC News that the star NFL player has not been ruled out as a suspect in the murder of a semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd, 27, who was Hernandez's friend.

Hernandez has been at the center of the investigation since Lloyd's body was found shot in the back of the head in a scrubby clearing of an industrial park roughly a mile from the Patriots star's million-dollar mansion in North Attleborough Monday.

Massachusetts authorities combed an industrial park in North Attleboro, Mass., Thursday, in an apparent search for evidence in the killing of a semi-pro football player within a mile from the home of New England Patriots’ tight end Aaron Hernandez.

Hernandez, who drove his SUV to Gillette Stadium Thursday, appears to be directly tied to the homicide, MyFoxBoston.com reported, citing an unnamed law enforcement source. On Tuesday, authorities executed a warrant and searched the star's $1.3 million home.

Police said they are searching for a silver mirror cover which is believed to have been broken off a vehicle and may be visible along a route of travel between Dorchester and North Attleboro.

The body of the victim, Odin Lloyd, 27, who played football for the Boston Bandits, was discovered after a night out with Hernandez and two other men, the source told the station.

The four men left in a car together, driven at one point by Hernandez, but only three men returned to Hernandez's home at the end of the night and Lloyd was not one of them, the source told the station.

Police have not named any suspects and Hernandez and his lawyers have not addressed the media.

Police have also issued a "BOLO" or "be on the lookout" for a silver Chrysler 300 rental car with Rhode Island registration which may have a connection to the homicide. A 2013 Chevrolet Suburban rented in Hernandez's name emerged as a key piece of evidence in the investigation.

The vehicle was registered to Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Teams had concerns about Aaron Hernandez in 2010 draft

Teams weighing Aaron Hernandez' stock before the NFL Draft in 2010 had reason to wonder if the talented tight end would someday become a huge off-the-field headache.

    They were warned.

At least one NFL team removed Hernandez from its draft board of eligible players and another red-flagged him while still considering him draftable as he came out of the University of Florida, due to concerns about his character and associates, the general managers of those teams told USA TODAY Sports on Thursday under the condition of anonymity.

The team executives did not want to be identified, given the sensitivity of the ongoing homicide case in North Attleboro, Mass. that links the New England Patriots standout as a potential suspect.

"We were told, 'Don't touch this guy. This guy is a bad guy. He smokes more weed than anybody,' " one GM told USA TODAY Sports, referring to a visit to the Florida campus.

"All of our scouts got negative reports on him."

The Patriots selected Hernandez with a fourth-round pick, despite widespread reports that he had flunked multiple drug tests for marijuana while at Florida and had admitted to teams at the NFL combine that year that he used drugs in college.

The GM said information from a background check suspected that Hernandez — who has never been suspended for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy during his tenure with the Patriots — attempted to mask drug use.

"He tried to beat the system," the GM said.

Report: Arrest warrant issued for Pats Hernandez
Tight end reportedly will be charged with obstruction of justice

    Aaron Hernandez, New England Patriots

    Adam Hunger / Reuters

An arrest warrant was issued for New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez on Friday in connection with a murder investigation.

The warrant for obstruction of justice was issued by Massachusetts State Police after finding Hernandez's home security system and cell phone destroyed, according to multiple reports.

Police searched Hernandez's home Thursday after obtaining a search warrant

Law enforcement sources told ABC News that the security system was intentionally damaged and Hernandez's cellphone had been shattered.

Hours before Odin Lloyd was murdered, surveillance video showed Hernandez with Lloyd in Hernandez's North Attleborough, Mass., neighborhood earlier in the week.

Also, the Boston Globe reported that Hernandez and Lloyd were likely together in Boston early Monday morning, according to video footage.

Lloyd, 27, was found by a jogger shot in the back of the head Monday evening in an industrial park near Hernandez's home. The investigation has centered on the Patriots' 23-year-old tight end. He has not been ruled out as a suspect.

It is believed that Lloyd died between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. Monday.

Police visited Hernandez's home Tuesday and Wednesday, then returned with a warrant Thursday. They questioned Hernandez about why the home security system and cell phone were destroyed and why a team of house cleaners was hired Monday to clean his home.

According to NFL.com, Hernandez visited Gillette Stadium on Thursday, although coaches and players were on vacation and owner Robert Kraft and other team executives were also not there. Reportedly, the only players there were a few rookies.

Lloyd was a linebacker for the semi-pro Boston Bandits. There were indications that he was shot and the body dumped in the industrial park. Lloyd had practiced with the team on Saturday.

Lloyd was dating the sister of Hernandez's girlfriend and mother of his child, at the time of Lloyd's death.

    This gets more bizarre...

New England Patriots TE Aaron Hernandez faces allegations of gun violence in suit
The alley where Bradley was found on February 13, 2013 on the asphalt, wrapped in a fetal position, sits just half a mile to the east and a mile north from the closest exit from I-95. Bradley lay in a pool of blood, his right eye lost, in a gritty parking space off an industrial alley in Riviera Beach, 65 miles up Interstate 95 to the north.

According to the police report, Bradley was shot in the right temple and pleaded with the manager of an adjacent John Deere store who called 911. ?Tell them to hurry,? Bradley told the store manager. ?I?m gonna bleed out.?

Bradley has undergone multiple surgeries for facial reconstruction, suffers from extreme pain, and is ?substantially disabled,? according to the complaint.

Bradley refused to identify his assailant when he was found in Riviera Beach or, later, at a West Palm Beach hospital. But he does in his civil action, blaming Hernandez. On Friday, Waks would not discuss why Bradley decided to name Hernandez in the complaint, which does not specify whether Bradley believes the gunshot was intentional or accidental.

The complaint states that Hernandez and Bradley were part of a group that spent the evening at Tootsie?s, and that the pair argued before they and two others began driving north toward Palm Beach.
Bradley has a prior arrest from March 2006...for...felony distribution, a charge for which he accepted a guilty plea. He ultimately served eighteen months and was released in 2007.

Bradley was arrested again on April 5, 2013 for felony third degree burglary, misdemeanor disorderly conduct, misdemeanor second degree criminal mischief, and misdemeanor third degree assault.

Alexander J. Bradley, before Hernandez & after Hernandez...

So it sounds like Hernandez was running with this gangster... or dealing with this dealer... and got into an argument over, what? Drugs? Price? Terms?

Hernandez shoots the guy in the head and, thinking he's going to die, drives an hour away to an industrial area and dumps the body in an alley. But the guy lived, and lost an eyes thanks to the Patriots TE.

Being the good gangster that he was, Bradley didn't snitch. Because criminals don't snitch on other criminals. Perhaps he tried to blackmail Hernandez into paying for trying to kill him? Perhaps he was just negotiating a settlement for his pain & suffering man-to-man...

Whatever, Hernandez stiffed him and Bradley was forced to hire an attorney.

Star athletes get treated differently - they are protected and get away with all kinds of stuff. This leads them to believe they can get away with anything.

His father died when he was 16. His mother reports:

"It was a rough process, and I didn't know what to do for him," Hernandez?s mother Terri told USA Today in 2009. "He would rebel. It was very, very hard, and he was very, very angry. He wasn't the same kid, the way he spoke to me. The shock of losing his dad, there was so much anger."
He is known to hang out with the "wrong crowd" read: gang activity, be an avid marijuana user (many failed drug tests), and have self esteem issues....

?It seems like he didn?t really hang with his teammates off the field like the rest of the team did,? said Kyed. "It was a thug life," is how one teammate described some of Hernandez's friends, according to Sports Illustrated.
He was involved in what looks like 3 gun incidents before this, but nothing stuck.

Henandez was considered the best TE in college football -- first round talent -- but so many teams had taken him off their draft boards that he lasted until the 4th round. Interestingly:

FOX Sports has learned one of the services that provide predraft psychological profiles for select NFL teams gave Hernandez a perfect test score when he was coming out of the University of Florida following his junior season. The profile described Hernandez as having ?good intelligence? despite not posting good grades at Florida. A synopsis of the report provided to FOX Sports depicted Hernandez as ?passionate toward football with a fun personality. He gets along with all different types of people.?

?It?s an interesting thing,? the executive said. ?Other guys have gotten written up with much worse scores but not gotten into trouble.?
It is not at all unusual to find many of your favorite college athletes having gang affiliations. But NFL teams background investigations were apparently especially concerning.

Being drafted by the Patriots may have been geographically unfortunate, too, as it placed him very close to his Connecticut hometown where he had all those gang ties.

Mr. Hernandez has a short fuse combined with a really bad temper combined with gang training ..... throw a firearm into that mix and somebody's gonna end up with a bullet in them.

Had he not been an athlete, he'd likely already be serving time imo.

Mr. Hernandez has a short fuse combined with a really bad temper combined with gang training ..... throw a firearm into that mix and somebody's gonna end up with a bullet in them.

Had he not been an athlete, he'd likely already be serving time imo.
Thanks Sheesh... I was trying not to think like a psychologist and it didn't work. I figured there was some type of history.

One other report from an NFL scout -- probably an ex athlete -- than summed it up:

“Self-esteem is quite low; not well-adjusted emotionally, not happy, moods unpredictable, not stable, doesn't take much to set him off, but not an especially jumpy guy,” the scout said.
