Robert Lee (42) was electrocuted while doing fractal wood burning

Robert Lee made a living using his hands, and since he was a kid, he spent most of his free time doing handiwork with wood.

The 42-year-old from Cocoa recently got into something called fractal wood burning, a craft that uses high-voltage electricity to burn designs into wood.

He was electrocuted and killed doing this last July.

Robert?s sister, Kasey Wagner, wants to make sure that word gets out about the dangers of fractal burning, as dozens of people have been killed in the U.S. in the last eight years.
I have never heard of this before.

I havent either. My husband has though he saw it on Big Timber, and you have to definately know what you are doing and be super careful.

He had five kids, how very sad. This is seriously dangerous. I have seen a lot of the art at craft shows and furniture in boutiques, etc. It's beautiful but not worth the risk. You're literally painting with high voltage electricity!

Here's a good explanation of it (starts 7:35):

You are talking to a woman who has laughed in the face of death, sneered at doom and chuckled at catastrophe.
