GARDEN CITY, Idaho (CBS 2) ? Three California children, taken by their mother, were found living in a Garden City tool shed by child abduction investigators, authorities said Wednesday.

The children ages 1, 2, and 3 were found living in a tool shed in Garden City with no running water July 29, according to the Tulare County (California) District Attorney's office.

The conditions of their living situation were so extreme that the mother, Jayde Sky Burgoyne, is being investigated by Garden City Police for child endangerment.

In May 2019, officials say Burgoyne abruptly left the state with all three children. After several unsuccessful attempts to locate Burgoyne and the children by the guardian, assistance was sought from the Tulare County's child abduction unit.

On July 2019, with the assistance of the Garden City Police Department in Idaho, Burgoyne and all three children were found. TCDA Investigators flew back to California that same day with the children to return them to their guardian.

The children are safe and have been reunited with their appointed guardian.
