    Obituary of Kristen R. Napiorkowski-Blakeman
    Kristen Napiorkowski Blakeman, 36, of Syracuse, passed suddenly on Monday at Upstate University Hospital. Her loving, caring, and tenacious spirit will be missed dearly by her family and friends.



    Kristen was born in Syracuse, NY on October 20, 1982. She graduated from Nottingham High School. Kristen was a talented and dedicated athlete throughout her high school career. She had a passion for women?s soccer and lacrosse, always cheering on Syracuse University Women?s Athletics and Team USA. Kristen was a devoted mom to her treasured young son, Talon, and her step son, Mikey. Being a mother was her pride and joy in life, and she loved her sons unconditionally.



    Kristen is predeceased by: her beloved mother, Patricia Balch-Liepke; her grandfather, Walter Napiorkowski; her grandmother, Eleanor (Miceli) Balch; her uncle, John Halko; her aunt, Kathleen (Balch) Halko; her father-in-law, Michael Blakeman, Sr.; and her mother-in-law, Nancy Blakeman Stever.



    Survivors: her son, Talon Edward Blakeman; her step-son, Michael Blakeman, III; her husband, Michael Blakeman, II; her father, Edward (Joanne Recupero) Napiorkowski; her grandmother, Irene (Goclowski) Napiorkowski; her grandfather, Sewell M. Balch, Jr.; her brother, Joshua Rebecca) Liepke; her uncles, Albert (Cynthia) Napiorkowski, Ronald (Beth) Napiorkowski, Arthur Napiorkowski, Michael (Marilou) Balch, Thomas (Laurie Lachiusa) Balch, and Andrew (Dan Wotoywicz) Balch; her nephew, Joshua Jameson Liepke; her niece, Olivia Liepke. She is also survived by her cherished cousins, extended family, and friends.



    Kristen was a mindful soul, and she wore her heart on her sleeve. She radiated with love for her precious little boy and those who knew her best. Kristen?s love will be with us, forever and always, no matter what.



    Services: 10 am Tuesday at Tindall Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Valley Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 pm Monday at the funeral home 1921 W Genesee St. Syracuse.

    She was so young. I feel bad for her son. How do you tell a 3yr old mommy's not coming home? Hopefully he'll remember her.
