Alexander Joshua Thornock, a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend, tragically passed away on Tuesday May 28, 2019. AJ was born to Reed and Karine Thronock (Nageli) on August 8, 1997. He grew up in Lehi, Utah and Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
A great friend, AJ loved skiing, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, snowboarding, motorcycle riding, and other outdoor activities. He was the unrivaled bisledual snow shredder, the ultimate powder huffer. AJ loved listening to, producing, and writing rap music. He was gifted and had a vast intellect. AJ earned his GED, taught himself calculus, mechanics and to write computer code. He excelled at video games, including League of Legends, Apex, Conan, Skyrim, and Call of Duty. He will be missed by his online community. He was an outstanding chef and enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends. Most of all, AJ brought joy, kindness and love to all he knew. He had a special connection with his nephew Malakai and a sweet relationship with his grand parents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A kind, gentle empathetic person, AJ is survived by his parents Reed and Karine Thornock (Nageli), brother Justin (Tiegra) Thornock, sister Jessica (Justin) Aquino, sister Anna Thornock, brother Jordan Thornock, Soulmate Christina Thurston, and best friends Eric Verster, Elliot Kussy. Preceded in death by his great grandparents, Ed and Anna Dea Nageli and Roxie Walbeck, and his grandmother Carol Thornock.
The viewing will be on Saturday June 1, 2019 from 1:30-2:45 pm with funeral services at 3:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe Morturary, 1007 West South Jordan Pkwy, South Jordan, UT.
