Some asshat brought a bucket truck and put a huge trump flag on a pine tree at the entrance to the neighborhood near my house. It's so high that you can't reach it without a bucket truck. I hope all the birds shit all over it.

Someone with a harpoon should do a number on it and grab it down.

We were walking our dogs and he pulled up with the bucket truck. I thought maybe the pine tree had been hit by lightning or something and he was assessing it. When we came back the flag was there. I am waiting to see if it's still there tomorrow. He did it in the middle of the day while everyone was at work.

Those Trump supporters are real quality people:

    https://abc7.com/7269379/?ex_cid=TA_...ource=facebook

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. -- A North Carolina man indicted last month on child pornography charges had searched earlier this year for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden's home online, traveled near the home and wrote a checklist that ended with the word "execute," according to federal court documents.

The information was contained in documents related to a detention hearing for Alexander Hillel Treisman, held in U.S. District Court in Durham. A magistrate, in an order signed Oct. 8, ordered Treisman to remain in custody.

An officer with the U.S. Marshal's Service and the Joint Terrorism Task Force testified that a search of Treisman's electronic devices and account showed a timeline of internet searches between March and May of this year seeking information about Biden's home address, state gun laws, rifle parts and night vision goggles.

The officer also said the search turned up a meme Treisman posted in April with the caption "should I kill joe biden?" as well as purchasing an AR-15 in New Hampshire, according to the document. It also said the search determined that Treisman had traveled to a fast-food restaurant within 4 miles (6 kilometers) of Biden's home, and also wrote a checklist note ending with the word "execute."

The Secret Service did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Thursday night.

You left out the best part:
    https://thehill.com/homenews/news/52...s-had-plans-to

A North Carolina man who was indicted last month on charges of child pornography also had plans to commit a mass shooting during the holidays and assassinate Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

A federal grand jury indicted 19-year-old Alexander Hillel Treisman, who also used the alias Alexander S. Theiss, in September on charges of knowingly possessing an image that contained child pornography, according to the Daily Beast. When authorities investigated Treisman’s electronic devices, they discovered a bounty of disturbing information.

Found among Treisman’s social media accounts and devices were images of various firearms he owned, plans to commit a mass shooting on “Christmas or Black Friday,” references to child pornography and child-rape, and multiple internet searches about Biden’s home.

Along with this information, authorities learned that he had purchased an AR-15 in New Hampshire and travelled to a Wendy’s within 4 miles of Biden’s home. He had also written a checklist ending with “execute" and under one of his social media accounts he had posted a meme with the caption “should I kill joe biden?”

Evidence gathered seems to suggest Treisman had made tentative plans to leave the country at one point with a doctored Polish passport discovered on his hard drive and emails to a Canadian law firm asking about obtaining Canadian citizenship.

Between the cop shooting some guy in the back five times and the pure idiocy..... Well.... EVERYWHERE. I'm out.

    Done. Finished. Kaput.

See y'all next year when I'm in Ireland no matter who gets in. I commend you all for trying, but it's either this or the bridge. So I'm out. Done. Donsky, can't do any more. I'll do it from 6000 miles away while getting healthcare and dental.

My husband and myself may not be great. I MAY NOT BE GREAT. But I'm taking the escape route and going to get the fuck out of here.

Update the Trump's are threatening to Sue the Lincoln Project.

Attorneys for Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner threatened to sue The Lincoln Project, a prominent Republican group opposing the president, for billboards it put up in Times Square in Manhattan.

The attorneys in a letter to The Lincoln Project complained about one billboard displaying Ivanka Trump, a senior adviser to her father, President Trump, smiling and gesturing next to figures showing that more than 33,000 New Yorkers and 221,000 Americans have died from the coronavirus. The lawyers also cited a billboard featuring Kushner, another senior White House adviser, next to body bags and an unrelated 2019 quote from before the pandemic in which he said New Yorkers would ?suffer.?

I am writing concerning the false, malicious and defamatory ads that the Lincoln Project is displaying on billboards in Times Square,? wrote attorney Marc Kasowitz. ?If these billboards are not immediately removed, we will sue you for what will doubtless be enormous compensatory and punitive damages.?

The Lincoln Project as well as Democrats have launched withering criticism at the White House over its handling of the coronavirus pandemic as cases spike across the country. The group has risen to prominence by releasing rapid-fire ads highlighting the latest controversy stemming from the White House, often going viral online and drawing rebukes from the president.

The anti-Trump group has most recently begun teaming up with Democratic groups to roll out ad buys worth millions of dollars in key swing states to hit President Trump on an array of issues, including the current health crisis and its economic fallout.

The Lincoln Project maintained in a statement that it will leave the billboards up, saying they accurately depict a lax attitude toward the pandemic.

?The level of indignant outrage Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump have shown towards The Lincoln Project for exposing their indifference for the more than 223,000 people who have lost their lives due to their reckless mismanagement of COVID-19 is comical. While we truly enjoy living rent free in their heads, their empty threats will not be taken any more seriously than we take Ivanka and Jared,? the group said in a statement.

?It is unsurprising that an administration that has never had any regard or understanding of our Constitution would try to trample on our first amendment rights but we fully intend on making this civics lesson as painful as possible,? it added.

Here is an interesting segment, This election is driving up gun sales but not by the stereotypical NRA Trump members

AUSTIN, Texas—Noah Horner always wanted a gun, but the 24-year-old tech company engineer had never been motivated enough to follow through. At least until this year, when coronavirus shut down the country, the economy tanked, unemployment spiked, more than 220,000 died, and a series of killings by police inspired thousands of protests, some of which turned violent.

Six weeks ago, because of what he understatedly calls “the current environment,” Horner bought his first firearm, a Glock 43X handgun that he keeps in his nightstand while he sleeps. But he didn’t want just to protect himself at home. He was worried he might need it as he was going about his daily life. In Austin, an Army sergeant had shot and killed a protester he said pointed a rifle at him after he turned his car onto a street where a demonstration was taking place. Horner wondered: What if I had to confront protesters alone at night? But if Horner wanted to be able to carry his new weapon in public, he’d need a license. Which is why on a recent Saturday morning, he drove to a strip mall in South Austin to sit in a windowless classroom at Central Texas Gun Works.

The class of about 20 people was being taught by the store’s owner, Michael Cargill, who offers up to four classes a week; the Saturday sessions are booked weeks in advance. He said he has noticed a shift in his clientele this year. Typically, Cargill’s customers are mostly conservative, he said, and the people enrolled in his license to carry classes are a mix of Republicans, Democrats and Libertarians. But lately, he said, the majority of the students are coming from the left side of the political spectrum.

For months Donald Trump has tweeted “LAW & ORDER” in all caps and cast himself as a “tough on crime” leader who will quell the unrest that defined the summer. He warned the “suburban housewives of America” that Joe Biden would destroy their neighborhoods. It’s a message that seems designed to appeal to anxious people like Horner. But it isn’t.

Horner told me he doesn’t consider himself political, but he said he’s planning to vote for Biden. He thinks Trump has embarrassed the country and mishandled the pandemic. Two others in the class, a young couple, described themselves as left-leaning, and they both have cast early ballots for Biden. Zachary Harris, 23, and his fianc?e, 24-year-old Amy Taylor, purchased their first firearms about six months before the course—a shotgun, a .22 rifle and a handgun. Even though Taylor grew up around guns, they were both wary of the dangers the weapons posed if they didn’t handle them carefully. But soon they expected to have something to protect—a child. And as a woman, Taylor felt vulnerable. Harris, who said he once would have described himself as anti-gun, said they’re not alone among their left-leaning friends who are also considering what kinds of weapons they should own.

Across the country, gun sales are high. Ammunition is sold out. And Cargill, among other retailers, is selling more firearms to first-time buyers. Gun retailers in the United States estimate that 40 percent of their sales during the first four months of 2020 were to first-time buyers compared with an annual average of 24 percent in years past, according to a survey conducted by the National Shooting Sports Foundation, the firearm industry’s trade association.
Between Jan. 1 and Sept. 30, about 15.4 million background checks were conducted nationally, said Mark Oliva, public affairs director for the foundation. That’s more than all of 2019, and quickly approaching the all-time record of 15.7 million checks in 2016, when Hillary Clinton was running for president.

Gun sales typically rise during an election year, but 2020, Oliva said, has been “unlike any other.” And the demographics of gun buyers appear to be shifting, too. Retailers are selling to more women, and more Black men and women, than in previous years. Oliva, who is a 47-year-old, white Marine veteran, said gun owners are starting to look less like him and more like Cargill, who is Black. Sales data don’t provide clues about buyers’ politics. But Cargill’s interactions with his customers across the counter tell him that talk about civil unrest around the upcoming election is just one more reason people are feeling anxious enough to buy a weapon now.

“If I dial 911, I’m not going to get the police officer,” Cargill said, explaining how some people have weighed the decision to arm themselves, “I’m going to have to be my own first responder. I’m going to have to get a gun.”

A fire was set Sunday in a Boston ballot drop box holding more than 120 ballots in what appears to have been a “deliberate attack,” Massachusetts election officials said.

The state has asked the FBI to investigate the fire that was set around 4 a.m. in a ballot drop box outside the Boston Public Library downtown, Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth William Galvin’s office said.

In a joint statement, Galvin and Boston Mayor Marty Walsh called it a “disgrace to democracy, a disrespect to the voters fulfilling their civic duty, and a crime.”

“Our first and foremost priority is maintaining the integrity of our elections process and ensuring transparency and trust with our voters, and any effort to undermine or tamper with that process must be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” they said in the emailed statement. “We ask voters not to be intimidated by this bad act, and remain committed to making their voices heard in this and every election.”

Boston Police said an arson investigation is underway and released surveillance images of a person near the ballot box at that time, urging the public to help identify the individual.

Officers called to the scene saw smoke coming out of the box before firefighters managed to extinguish the fire by filling the box with water, police said.

There were 122 ballots inside the box when it was emptied Sunday morning, and 87 of them were still legible and able to be processed, Galvin’s office said. The box had last been emptied around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Voters can go online to see whether their ballot was processed. Those who used that dropbox between Saturday afternoon and 4 a.m. Sunday and can’t confirm the status of their ballot online should contact the Boston Elections Department immediately, officials said.

Voters whose ballots were affected can either vote in person or by a replacement ballot that will be mailed to them, officials said. If those voters don’t submit a new ballot, “their original ballot will be hand-counted to the extent possible,” Galvin’s office said.

An email seeking comment on whether the FBI is investigating was sent to an agency spokesperson.

Armed militia groups are forging alliances in the final stages of the US presidential election with conspiracy theorists and anti-vaxxers who claim the coronavirus pandemic is a hoax, intensifying concerns that trouble could be brewing ahead of election day.

Leading advocates of anti-government and anti-science propaganda came together at the weekend, joined by the founder of one of the largest militia groups. The rare connection occurred at the Red Pill Expo, a conference convened on Jekyll Island, Georgia – a symbolic location as it is the birthplace of the US Federal Reserve, a popular bogey figure for conspiracy theorists.

The summit, staged indoors in front of a packed and maskless audience of about 350, was headlined by Stewart Rhodes, president of the Oath Keepers. The militia, which turned up menacingly at several Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests over the summer and has acted as a vigilante squad at numerous Donald Trump campaign rallies, has links to 25,000 current or past members, mostly military or police veterans.

Rhodes aroused the crowd of “Red Pillers”, as they called themselves, with incendiary language. He denounced BLM as a “communist front” and encouraged attendees to seek training in firearms and militia activity as the election approaches.

“You are your own self-defense,” he said. “You must organize yourselves in the next 30 days in your towns and counties. We have members in every state in the union and we are standing them up right now.”

Rhodes said the turbulence around “radical left” protests had brought “a flood of special warfare operatives into the Oath Keepers”. He cited former navy Seals and special force personnel from Fort Bragg, the US army garrison in North Carolina.

A number of groups monitoring far rightwing paramilitary activity have warned in recent weeks that militia groups and individuals online are increasingly focusing their attentions on the presidential election. The chatter has been fueled by Trump’s provocative remarks casting doubt on the integrity of the voting process and calling on his supporters to turn up at polling places on election day.

Anxiety is also growing around the activities of white supremacist domestic terrorist groups, which federal agencies now recognize as an especially dangerous threat. Last week six people were charged in a plot to kidnap the governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitmer.

At the Red Pill gathering, the Oath Keeper president set his sights openly on election day. He said that on 3 November “we will have our men deployed outside the polling stations to make sure you are protected, especially in swing states”.

Rhodes’ appearance marked an unusually overt fusion of interests between armed far-right groups and anti-government and anti-pharmaceutical conspiracy theorists. Several of his fellow keynote speakers denounced the coronavirus pandemic as a fraud cooked up by global elites as a ploy to subjugate the American people.

Betsy Quammen, author of a book on the 2014 Bundy standoff in Nevada who attended the Red Pill event as a monitor, said the union of disparate virulent movements was troubling. “As somebody who’s been studying militia manoeuvring and conspiracy theorists, it’s disconcerting to see these various groups uniting under a common banner of mistrust about coronavirus.”

She added that the timing of the meeting so close to the election was alarming.

Among the speakers at the summit, Mikki Willis followed Rhodes in talking up the actions of armed rightwing individuals. Willis is known for having been the director of Plandemic, the viral video that spread the lie that coronavirus was invented by big drug companies and Bill Gates, among others.

He boasted to the Red Pill audience that he had also made a laudatory video about Kyle Rittenhouse, the teenager charged in August in the killing of two people during anti-police brutality protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Willis praised the alleged shooter, whom Trump also notably failed to denounce, as a “very stand-up citizen”.

David Icke, the British conspiracy theorist widely denounced for antisemitic hate speech, was beamed into the summit by video from the UK. He traded misinformation about the “pandemic hoax”, accusing a global “cult” of elites of having creating a coronavirus vaccine that was in fact a “sterilization agent” that would be used to destroy humanity.

Icke also encouraged school kids to refuse to wear masks, which he called “face diapers”.

Two other major strains of misinformation were represented at the weekend. Del Bigtree, producer of the anti-vaccination film Vaxxed, which features the disgraced British doctor Andrew Wakefield, also portrayed the pandemic as a global conspiracy aiming to take control over people’s lives.

Bigtree pointed to a poll last month that suggested that two-thirds of Americans would be hesitant to get a Covid vaccine when it first became available. He said the survey showed the anti-vaccination movement was winning: “Man, does it feel good!”

He also praised Trump as a “brave individual” and someone “I’ve watched wear a mask less than anyone else”.

The last group given a voice at the gathering were peddlers of industrial bleach, who market the chemical as a “miracle cure” for all known ailments including malaria, HIV/Aids, cancer and Covid-19. Kerri Rivera, a leading advocate of chlorine dioxide as a treatment for autism, talked to the summit by video link from Germany.

“If people took chlorine dioxide for most illnesses, few doctors would be needed and the pharmaceutical industry would be bankrupted,” she said.

She also claimed the bleach, which is used in industrial textile manufacturing, had no major side effects. In fact, the US Food and Drug Administration has warned that consuming it can be life-threatening and incidents of death have been recorded.

Several leading bleach pushers in the US are currently in jail on federal charges.
