Auburn police have released the name of the woman stabbed to death early Saturday morning.

Police responded to a call about 1 a.m. in the 400 block of White St.

When officers arrived, they found 59-year-old Phyllis Gulatte dead.

Police are now looking for Christopher Lyles.

Through the investigation, police believe Lyles and Gulatte got into an argument and then Lyles stabbed Gulatte.

According to police, at the time of this homicide, Lyles was out on Parole; although the Auburn Police Division requested that the Parole Board deny his parole as it related to a 16 year sentence for striking a victim in the head with a firearm in 2008.

The 2008 Assault happened while he was out on Parole for a 30 year sentence stemming from charges of Robbery 1st Degree, Assault 2nd degree and Discharging a Firearm convictions in 1992.
