Rosie Umney (15) died from a cardiac arrest hours after she was told by a doctor that she just had an ear infection

A 15-year-old girl went into cardiac arrest and died just hours after she was told by a GP she had an ear infection.

Rosie Umney, who had type 1 diabetes, was taken to a GP surgery by her mother because she was vomiting, hyperventilating and struggling to walk.

Since when has hyperventilating been a symptom of an ear infection?

Why didn't they draw blood on her? Jesus they dropped the ball so hard. Poor girl and her poor grandpa, he feels so guilty.

Wow. Trouble breathing, pain in her side - ear infection? This family better sue the scrubs off of that doctor.

This is why a medical history is so very important. If she's 15 and a type I diabetic, she knows it. This physician didn't adequately assess much about her at all. Anyone who appears to you the way they made her out should have had a full head to toe exam, blood sugar level, electrolyte level, cbc/differential at the very least. She was breathing hard because she was trying to blow off those damn ketones that make diabetics smell so sickly sweet. But her neuro exam would have pointed them in the right direction, had he done one. Poor baby.

I just can't even imagine that. I mean, dude...
Don't like what I have to say? I respect that. Go fuck yourself.
