I really only use butter for baking. I cook with olive oil. But sometimes I want butter on my mashed potatoes or toast.

Incidentally, my mom called margarine "oleo" and she remembered when it first came out. The dairy industry lobbied so that they could not dye it yellow. It was white, like crisco, and the consumer would have to take a little packet of yellow dye that came with it and mix it in by hand.

I watched a 48 Hours episode the other day called The Killing Fields about some murders in Texas. One of the victims, Krystal Jean Baker, was Marilyn Monroe's (Norma Jeane Baker) great niece.
