Now they are having an Iron Chef reality show.  It's quite like Top Chef.  Sometimes Top Chef just got a little too cutting edge as far as what they cooked.  Marcel and all of his "foams"...

Really?  See, I just love the way Top Chef is produced and organized.  I love all of Bravo's reality shows.  I'm not sure if I could deal with the Iron Chef show.

What are you watching this fall?

I seriously have no clue.  I'll try Real Housewives again.  I fell behind in Lost last season and have the whole season taped, but then some dumbass started spouting off spoilers to me.  I'm still going to try to get caught up though.  I hope the new season doesn't start too soon.  I'll watch any Gordon Ramsey stuff, Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares (BBC and US versions).  I was watching Kalifornication, but last night was the season finale'.  Give me some suggestions, otherwise, I might have to start doing charity work in my free time.

    THE OFFICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's my major recommendation, and you don't even have to watch the previous episodes to catch up.

My most important shows, according to my facebook:

six feet under ((rip)), the office, arrested development((rip)), survivor, grey's anatomy, law & order svu, unsolved mysteries, america's funniest home videos, the amazing race, america's next top model, top chef, veronica mars ((rip)), project runway, top chef, ridiculously awesome/awful canadian television.

I'm also watching Private Practice and The Hills.  I've seen all the Girls Next Door episodes too.   I watch so much TV   DVR is the greatest invention EVER.

OMG I thought you knew The Office was a given!!!!  Of course.  I think I'm going to try to get into watching the BBC Office at some point too.  And yeah, whenever I see it on, I watch Girls Next Door.  Don't even say Six Feet Under!  WHY is that gone?  And the Sopranos!!!  I have nothing now. I wish HBO would get a new series for me to get into.  I'm bummed that I never watched Dexter.  I need to catch up on that one somehow.  Oh, and I might try to catch up on Weeds.  I think I might like that one.

You can watch Dexter online.  It hasn't even been shown here in the UK but I watched it online.

Hahaha. You sound like me. I watch EVERYTHING.
Since they're so many reality/competition shows, I am so happy to watch good ol fashioned scripted television!

    But what's Facebook?

I'm the same way. Sometimes I feel like such a loser for being so in to TV, but, I mean, really. It's so much better than actually going out and being active.

Nah. Television is havign a resurgence. And in part, it's thanks to reality TV.
All those crap reality shows are so cheap to make (get a camera and follow someone around, no writers to pay)
that they get cranked out, like 200 at a time.
To stay on the air with a normal TV show, you have to have something that's actually good.
So the cream rises to the top, and we get some of the best TV there's been in a while.

So I guess I owe Jess a thanks for watching crap! Thanks jess!

    Excellent points. All of them.
Thanks, jess! (Although I'm definitely guilty of watching a crap reality TV show or two. Beauty and the Geek, anyone?)
Also - I want to add Scrubs to the list of great TV right now. I think that's one of the most underrated shows EVAR.

Where is this good television?  What am I missing?  I can name maybe 5 decent shows.  There has to be something major that I'm missing.  Enlighten me.  My boyfriend has a show on like every night, and it's always some overacted crime show, or that thing where people are turning into superheros and it's all because of a cheerleader or some such crap.

Yea, I watch a few. It's almost impossible to avoid!

Scrubs is fuckin great man. You should read Anglea Nissel's books.
She's a writer/producer of scrubs and she has 2 books out.
One is about being a broke college student, and some of her broke-ass stories.
The other is about growing up mixed-race in a Black neighborhood in Philadelphia. She's hilarious.
    Scrubs fan? You rule!

I kept missing episodes of Heroes when it was on tv here so it made no sense.  I've been bored being off work for so long that I watched it online and am now totally addicted

Ehh I guess I was being a little snide on the Heros post.  I know people love it.  I watched the first few and kept falling asleep, so I gave up.  Now, I did hear that it's getting a little over the top this season though.  But here's the thing, I'm the best cook I know.  I love watching shows about something I enjoy or could possibly achieve (like Top Chef).  Now, I could watch Heros every day, and I'm still not gonna learn to fly.

  Very true.  To be honest I like watching cookery shows but I still can't cook.  Sometimes it's nice for tv to be an escapism and to watch a show like Heroes because it's nothing like your real life is or ever will be.

Oh, I just picked Top Chef at random, cause I saw you folks mention it earlier.
It wasn't a shot at ya.

I know how to cook, and I like cooking....but those shows still don't interest me.
I'm a comic book geek though, so to watch a story like Heroes unfold on the screen....it's beyond words. :-D
You're falling asleep, and I'm on the edge of my seat.

Exactly! That;s why I like watching shit like that, and not watching people act like assholes for the camera.
Not the chef shows...I'm talking about the reality TV stuff. :-P
