I can't stand Sarah Silverman, but otherwise I totally agree with you.  My girlfriends are the funniest motherfuckers I know.  

And yeah, what do men talk about? Cock, women, their cocks....being white/black?  Same shit, different story.  And there are a LOT of really unfunny male comedians.  Hi, Andy Dick, Carlos mencia, Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel.

what about Gilda Radner?!!  I think we're also forgetting to acknowledge how the comedy circuit operates like a boys' club, and it's really hard for women to break into it.  Plus, women will sit and listen to a man complain about bad blow jobs but men aren't open to listening to women talk about shitty oral.  Basically, it's the same formula as a typical movie audience: women will hit up male-targeted films,but men won't even consider going to a 'female' movie....

Like, if Harry Potter had been Henrietta Potter, it could be the exact same story but the audience would have been much smaller because boys think it's 'gay' to read a book from a female's perspective.
