wait, you intern DURING your residency? on the show they make it seem like first you're an intern, and then you're a resident. like they were surgical interns, and then they took their intern exams and became surgical residents.

I'm not a fan of the Addison spin off, either. It looks too much like a cheaply written knockoff, not a complimentary accent show. Maybe they'll pull it off, but spin offs typically blow.
A friend of my sister's just graduated medical school last month in Texas and is doing her residency starting this fall for 2-3 years in Chicago. I think you intern either while in school or after residency.

nah i'm almost positive they're just writing him off. he left cristina in the finale anyway; i'm guessing that will just turn out to be for serious and he'll leave town or at least transfer hospitals or something.
i think interning must just be the first part of your residency? idk, on the show interning is definitely before full blown residency, and the interns are lower on the totem pole than the residents.

I think the spin off looks promising. I'll watch it. I like the characters so far. I'm a Taye Diggs fan. I think Meredith's half sister is going to be a major focus next season and I think it may just make Meredith even MORE annoying, if at all possible.

The whole George/Izzie thing pisses me off. They spend all of the seasons so far building this awesome, platonic relationship only to ruin it with adultery! Come the fuck on. It came out of nowhere and Izzie isn't even herself anymore. She is all "woe is me" now. And, since the three seasons cover one year of internship, it's as if Denny JUST died. If she was all heartbroken over the love of her life, why the hell is she breaking up her best friend's marriage?!
