    Two men found dead Monday in a Palm Springs pool are not believed to be victims of foul play, Palm Springs police said Tuesday in a news release.

    Authorities were called to a residence in the 1000 block of Via Altamira at about 10 a.m. Monday after the two men were "found motionless in the swimming pool."

    A death investigation is ongoing, police said, adding that while a cause of death has yet to be determined, investigators say "no foul play is suspected at this time."


    Responding police and Palm Springs firefighters found drug paraphernalia by the side of the pool, according to the news release, but it is unknown if drugs were a factor in the deaths.

    It was also unknown if the males lived at the address where their bodies were found.

    The Riverside County coroner's office is continuing the investigation.

    The identity of the males is being withheld pending next of kin notification by the coroner?s office.

    PALM SPRINGS - An investigation is underway into the deaths of two men found in a swimming pool at a Palm Springs home, with drug paraphernalia located nearby, but foul play is not suspected, police reported today.

    The men were found motionless at 10 a.m. Monday in the pool at a home in the 1000 block of Via Altamira and were pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, according to the Palm Springs Police Department.

    "Drug paraphernalia was located at the side of the swimming pool. However, it is unknown if drugs were a factor in the deaths,'' according to a police statement.

    Autopsies were pending to determine the cause of their deaths.

    It was unclear if the men were residents of the home. Their ages and identities were withheld pending notification of their relatives.

    Damn. They probably OD'ED since the cops found drugs there and they don't suspect foul play.

    Sounds like it, of all the places you could choose to be while you're using, water would have to be one of the worst. Especially if there isn't someone else there (who isn't under the influence) to keep an eye on you

    Authorities today released the name of one of two men found dead in a Palm Springs residential swimming pool last week.

    William Frazee, 60, of Palm Springs, was found around 10 a.m. Aug. 20 ``motionless'' in the backyard pool in the 1000 block of Via Altamira, according to Palm Springs police.

    The other man discovered dead in the pool, Bradley Mauk, 62, of Palm Springs, was publicly identified last week.

    Foul play is not suspected in either man's death, according to authorities. Investigators have not yet made a cause of death determination, though police noted that drug paraphernalia was located at the side of the pool.

    Anyone with information regarding the deaths was asked to call the Palm Springs Police Department at (760) 323-8115 or Crime Stoppers at (760) 341-7867 to report anonymously
