Well, he definitely has that IDGAF look about him when doing press conferences. In his socks, holey shorts, and dirty af shirt. He's winning at life.

Mollie's abductor is hiding in plain sight': FBI 'believes Mollie Tibbetts is still alive and being held hostage - and her captor was among search crews and attended vigils in her honor'

A source close to the FBI investigation into Tibbetts' disappearance said her kidnapper may know her and may have attended her vigil and search efforts
They also say it is likely that the missing 20-year-old is still alive
Source said the suspect was 'hiding in plain sight' and has been 'closely follow[ing] the case'
University of Iowa student Tibbetts was last seen going for a run in Brooklyn, Iowa, on July 18
Two weeks later, more than 200 people gathered at the RiverLoop Amphitheatre in Waterloo for a candlelit vigil in her honor
Investigators are looking at single, divorced, and widowed men around Brooklyn, Iowa as her potential kidnapper
Tibbetts' father, Rob, and brother Scott, are convinced she is still alive
'I do believe Mollie is with someone who she knows, probably someone who cares about her,' Rob said
'But that relationship was misguided, misinterpreted and went wrong, and I think they're in a place with Mollie and don't know how to get themselves out of (it)'

I hope they're not dwelling on the marital status too much. We've all seen married men do horrible things to young women. It doesn't matter to them.

Guilty. The young and very old capture my heart. Of course I would never want anyone to suffer, but I can't help but be upset and fixated on those kinds of cases specifically.

I don't know why I keep missing posts in this thread but I missed this one.

I feel bad for Iowa now. I had a family member who had pigs & I will never forget how bad it smelled to be downwind of them. I can't imagine what it"d be like having more than one neighbour running them on their land

Ah, geez. I mean, we all knew it was coming, but, fuck. Poor thing. May she rest in peace.

Were they conducting searches today or was she found by accident?

No details will be released by police before a news conference at 4 p.m. (5 p.m. ET), according to Mitch Mortvedt with the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, but he told CNN to "expect quite a bit of news."

Damn. They really seemed to believe she was alive which must have instilled great hope in the family. What a crushing blow to hear she was finally found, but not alive. I'm very interested to hear the press conference.

Yikes. A day or so after her dad flew back to CA. Now he has to fly back out to Iowa.

Found in a rural area. Who do we think the killer is?

    I'm going with:

    1. Boyfriend's male friend
    2. Boyfriend AND male friend
    3. Pig man
    4. Ex-boyfriend

I'm going with a random local. Not the pig man. Likely someone who drives a lot for his job.

    Toaster time!

I think she was jogging on a rural road and was a victim of a hit and run with her body ending up in a ditch in tall weeds.

I'm with this, only I think the driver panicked and hid the body.

I think a random person kidnapped & raped her, then dumped her body on the side of the road.

Devin Riley, perhaps? He inserted himself in the investigation by saying he was the last person to see her alive. He also gave a very detailed description of her outfit. Two red flags I've learn to look for by being on this site.

People local to Brooklyn, Iowa on Reddit are saying they heard rumors that a suspect was in custody. Not sure if I can link it here but it's in the MollieTibbetts subreddit.
