Rachael Joy Goterch, 44 of Newton, MA, died unexpectedly at her home in Newton.

Rachael was born in Methuen, MA. She grew up and was educated in the Salem, NH public school system. In 1989 Rachael made her way south to the Mean-gyuh Valley (aka Merrimack Valley), where she lived, played 45?s, laughed and thrived. In 1994, she moved to Newport, RI where she and her dear friend, Rafael, worked, lived, and shared a life together for 15 years. In 2010 she returned to Massachusetts and spent her remaining years with her much beloved and best friend, Robert, who is also lovingly known as ?Boston Bob.?

Rachael enjoyed a happy and fruitful career baking at Katrina?s on Bellvue Ave., in Newport, RI. for 10 years. She was also an outstanding cook who loved trying new dishes. She could inspire a meat lover to turn vegan after diving into a few of her outrageously delicious, cold, vegan salads. However, Rachael?s true passion was music. She criss crossed the United States with her true and beautiful percussionist friend, Leroy White. Rachael loved life on the road with all the adventure it had to offer her free and precious spirit. She assisted Leroy as his sound and lighting tech which was not a job but a new and interesting challenge at different venues along America?s Highways and Byways. Most recently she joined a Lou Reed group through which she made numerous friends. Rachael adored visiting Manhattan. There she joined her friends who all shared a mutual appreciation for the Iconic Punk Rock Legend.

Rachael is survived by her parents: Christine (Salach) Repetto of Rumney, NH, and her estranged Father, Joe Goterch of Spring Hill, Florida.

Siblings: Niko Repetto of Woodstock, NH, Rocco Repetto of Plymouth, NH, Candice Bundzinski of Chicago, IL; Carmen Bundzinski also of Chicago, IL, Kristine Lacroix of Pepperrell, MA; Nicole Wilson and her sister Tracey. Rachael also leaves behind cousins, Keith, Eric, and Henry Salach as well as Marya Salach of Lawrence and Leah Salach of Salem, NH.

Rachael has one nephew: Cyrus Joshua Michael Repetto who is currently 5 and A HALF!

Rachael also leaves behind her best friend, Stephanie Billings. They shared so much throughout the years. No one knows Steph like Rachael did. No one knew Rach like Steph did. Rachael will be sadly missed by Stephanie as well as Jim Phelps and Lori Black. God Bless You All.
