Is there anything good that can come from this?

They couldn't even find the record of the court appearance before they taped that segment. Something's telling me that she'll definitely have a lot more court appearances in her immediate future [said in a David Caruso, CSI voice].
She reminded me of a petulant 5-year old. "Leave me alone!"
She should have left the drugs alone or not driven. Maybe she took them to keep calm in her court appearance - because I can't fathom why you would want to go to court stoned like she looked to be on the tv news segment.
She was one hot mess. :2eyesbleed:
And ick her acrylics nails are way too thick!

:-(
The unfortunate part is that this girl ruined her life and it doesn't seem like she is ready to accept responsibility for her choices.
[/quote]
Well, isn't the unfortunate part that she took someone else's life due to her poor choices. She does admit that she did it but she doesn't acknowledge, in her grief-stricken, erratic responses, how the accident was entirely preventable. She does seem to think that accident, regardless of the fact that she was under the influence of heavy drugs and an unlicensed driver, is an accident. The law doesn't allow for this possibility.

Seriously. A stupid boy in my life who shall remain nameless asked me for a ride yesterday to the court for his dui charges.
I pick him up and hes shit faced drunk. I had to do the mommy finger wag and tell him he was stupid. just plain stupid.

The entire situation is unfortunate, however this woman's life seems to be taken in vain if the response from the person who 'accidentally' killed her wasn't all 'woe is me for having an accident.' Bitch was on drugs and clearly cannot see that it might have had something to do with her poor judgement in a vehicle.
I am not completely clear on some of the circumstances, did she yank the wheel? Or did they actually switch drivers? Regardless this little girl should be sober today, right? Maybe see that her choices created the issue at hand.

 I've been using that term long before I started watching that. Since high school, actually. I've always read a lot of detective fiction.
I think I used it a bunch of times to describe a former MDS poster, too.

Has nothing to do with your ability as a driver.

It could mean you dont know how to drive.
or that you dont know the rules of the road, which would assist in you being a bad driver

It's because addicts are not logical. They also think others can't tell when they're drunk or high.

This. I get that feeling from her, almost like she is ignoring the fact her being on drugs might have something to do with the accident.

It could. It could mean you let your license expire. One day you're a fine and dandy driver, but suddenly the next day you're a menace?
Just saying there are a lot of people that have licenses that can't fucking drive.

I find it annoying when they throw that 'unlicensed' bit into stories like it's a big deal, too. While it is illegal, it doesn't mean they've never drive a car before and rarely has anything to do with the actual accident.

Thank you! Exactly what I was saying. And I quoted someone who was saying it like it was part of the problem.
Sure the license could have expired, but I usually think someone with no license or a suspended license did something to have said license taken away. Driving drunk or high perhaps...as is the case here.

That's possible, too. I just don't feel like the fact she's unlicensed had anything to do with it. At the time of her first accident before she got it taken away she was probably a licensed driver.
