A conservative host at a Sinclair-owned station in Missouri has resigned after making a sexual assault threat online against Parkland survivor David Hogg.
Jaime Allman, a host at KDNL-TV and 97.1FM in St. Louis, resigned after his advertisers began boycotting his shows following his vulgar tweet, the Washington Post reported Monday.
?I?ve been hanging out getting ready to ram a hot poker up David Hogg's a-- tomorrow,? Allman wrote on March 26, according to the St. Louis Dispatch. The context of the tweet wasn?t clear.
Advertisers such as Ruth's Chris Steak House and other businesses quickly dropped from his shows after the host was slammed on social media.
Sinclair Broadcast Group did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
But a Sinclair spokesman told the Post the company accepted his resignation and ?The Allman Show? was cancelled.
Sinclair has been under fire after a video showing dozens of anchors warning the public about ?fake news? ? a term widely used by President Trump ? went viral.
Fox News host Laura Ingraham also faced criticism for mocking the Marjory Stoneman High School senior after he said he was rejected from some of his top college choices.
Hogg, 17, became a gun control advocate after a shooter killed 17 people at his high school in Parkland, Fla. on Feb. 14.
Over a dozen companies ? including Office Depot, Hulu, Trip Advisor and others ? withdrew ads from ?The Ingraham Angle.?
Ingraham has since apologized for her comments, but Hogg wasn?t buying it. He previously told the Daily News that her attacks were ?really, really stupid.?
