Kristin L. Langenfeld, age 47 of Hastings, died suddenly but peacefully at home on Wednesday morning, January 24, 2018.

Kristin Leah, the daughter of Gary and Cheryl (Mayers) Hilmer, was born on September 7, 1970, in Rochester, Minnesota. Kristin attended high school in Cottage Grove and graduated with the class of 1988. On April 21, 2001, she was united in marriage to Michael Langenfeld, and they were blessed with a beautiful daughter, Emma. Kristin was a longtime Bookkeeper and Accountant for St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, and cherished the time spent with her work family. Outside of working, Kristin enjoyed renovating her home, traveling anywhere warm, and spending time watching Emma play hockey and soccer.

She was preceded in death by her brother Jody in infancy, and by her sister, Tara Lynch.

Kristin is survived by her husband, Michael and daughter, Emma; mother and father-in-law, Mike and Nancy Langenfeld; father, Gary (Debi) Hilmer; mother, Cheryl Lynch; step-father, David Lynch; sisters and brothers-in-law, Tracy (Tom) Duppong and Tyler (Tawnie) Langenfeld; siblings, Tamra Lynch, Jeremy Lynch, and Amanda (Kory) Koziolek; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 29, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hastings, with Father Cole Kracke, Father David Hennen, and Father T.J. McKenzie concelebrating Mass. Private family interment will take place at the parish cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon, and will continue from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday morning, ALL AT CHURCH.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Animal Ark in Hastings.
