A homicide investigation is underway in Calera after a woman was found dead early Saturday morning.

Calera Police Chief Sean Lemley tells ABC 33/40 News Kathleen Dawn West was found in the 100 block of Greenwood Circle.

ABC 33/40 News also spoke with the Shelby County Coroner. Right now, they're working to figure out how West died. The body is being transported to Montgomery for an autopsy.

He recently completed his MS in Criminal Justice Administration. I'm sure this is, like, SUPER bad, but that's the one thing that makes me afraid that hie did do it. You know how people will get advanced degrees in CJ to help them when they plan murders. Isn't that the sole reason why someone would get that Masters? Lol

Seriously though, who takes the time to screenshot the time and temperature the day before your wife is murdered and then the day of the murder and make it a point to post it to Facebook showing that yes, you were alone and camping somewhere that whole time. I was there, I promise!

I don't know. My dad was retired military and an avid hunter, and he used to donweird shut like that after I got him his first smartphone. He would send me the weather screenshot when there was a vast difference in weather within a short physical distance or period of time. You just can't give those guys new toys.

For real though, I just hate these cases where the kids lose both of their parents in one fell swoop, and it's worse in many ways than if they'd lost both parents in an accident or something. I just hate to believe that's what happened, even though I know it's statistically the most likely outcome. I feel so bad for those kids.

This makes the most sense to me. I don't think anyone would be brazen enough to kill her in the street, where people could see them do it. Unless they injured her inside, and she somehow escaped and collapsed in the street.

That was my second guess. Husband gone - someone attacks her - she crawls out to street looking to flag someone down and collapses.

On a side note - husband DOES look unhappy as hell. And the two screenshots he posts do look like they are from different phone carriers. I scrolled through to see if his posts increased around the time of his hunting trip and they did slightly.

One more thing I was wondering: She posts a lot of photos with her husband - and I was wondering if he ever co-starred with her, if you know what I mean....?

I can't see her instagram, and I'm too lazy to look right now lol. On a side note, I made an instagram for my cat and she has 1k followers in 3 days (growth hacks). Sounds like this lady was pretty popular though. I am 90% sure that what she was doing on the onlyfans site was a lot more explicit as she mentions "toys".

Not by any means is that a reason someone should be killed, but I have a soon to be tween daughter, and there sure are a lot of creepers on the internet. I had to block my daughters roblox chat (a kids game) when I noticed people asking her where she lived. I think those screenshots likely could have definitely come from two different phones/carriers like an Android & an iPhone...
Mainly I say this because the iPhone-looking one (white top of screen) is slightly more narrow than the other, just like the phone screens are in real life. Although, maybe they could just be from two different models of the iPhone, like one is an older (narrower screen) 5s and the other being an (wider) iPhone 8+ model.
