Just saw Battlefield Bad Company, came out on the 23rd for console only, the game looks incredible.


So all you console gamers out there might want to check it out. The entire environment is destructible. You can even cut tree branches with your knife.

Pissed it isn't out for PC. EA,

I've also always been skeptical of console FPS's.  I've been born and raised on mouse & keyboard, so aiming with an analog stick still feels awkward.  Though some people have been able to pull this off brilliantly (Halo).

I watched my boss's son play it for about five minutes, there's humor in it but I wouldn't call it funny. It is a different feel, game looks good.

I agree, I just can't FPS without WASD and a mouse.

My husband downloaded the trial and is obsessed with it.  It does look pretty though, I'll give ya that.  I was very impressed at how your 'hearing' would change depending on where bombs and gunshots were coming from.

Yeah, the game does look amazing. But I get frustrated playing FPS's without a mouse and keyboard too. I love aiming for the head, and with the mouse it comes with so much ease. I had a G-7 and for some reason I had an issue with it about a year later and it didn't work well. So I bought the G-5. I wise I could just hook the PS3 up to my computer and play it like that. On the other had, my roommate has all the console systems, and they are all hooked up to his 73" HD TV. So I have to say that even though I hate console I can't get my self to walk away from the Wii. Or driving games on the 360, and GTA4 on PS3. Sometimes the TV will make all the difference in the world. hmm... I should hook up my computer to the TV and play battlefield on it... I would so pwn.

The dynamic and ambient sound is a hall mark of the battlefield series. Pretty cool, isn't it? I can't even play with surround or my head set. If you hear a tree branch crack to your left, you better turn to the left and start shooting. I also target  enemy soldiers by what languages they speak.

You can hook up an HDMI adapter to the back of your video card. I love the picture I get with my Samsung 22" 226BW Black Wide-Screen LCD (2ms, DVI, HDCP)  and my PNY NVIDIA 512 MB GeForce 7950 GT so I'll leave the TV to the family.  :-)

He's played BF1942 and it's sequel and I honestly don't remember that part of it.  But those were all on his PC so I was probably not paying as much attention.

Once you rank up, you can get better weapons. I like the special Forces unlocks. You won't miss as much. I also play with my mouse sensitivity.

It's been a long time since diablo 2. Oh I remember the days, I spent countless hours on diablo 2. Bring my sorceress up to level 98, and MF'ing (that's magic finding)  :lol: for hours straight. Then they patched it, and I didn't feel like starting all over again.  :2angry:

All in all, It looks like this game might catch my eye for buying it. It looks amazing, and I'm thinking about buying a 9800 vid card to ensure I can run it on full settings. However one big flaw in diablo 2 is when all the asains players flooded our realms... I hope Blizzard makes sure that doesn't happen again. If you have to pay monthly to play it, I'm not going to buy it.

Once you buy a game that's it. End of transaction, no monthly fee to keep playing it. I give you the money you give me the game. No need to bring credit card info into this.

That game does look good, are there any plans for a PC version? Have you seen the trailers for COD5? It's WWII again, pacific theater. The trailer looks good but doesn't look like game play.

I was having jet ski battles in special forces Saturday night with our clan leader. Yeah, we are very serious about the game. harder than hell to try to run into each other on those damned things.
