At the moment I'm playing Skate 3, Red Dead Redemption & UFC Undisputed 2010.
is the check point system in RDR the same as GTA? Do you have to ride your horse (or whatever) all the way back to the mission before you can restart it after you die?

I think its like gta. (Although, I haven't played gta in ages). When you die, it gives you the options of exiting the mission or restarting at last checkpoint. Each mission has a couple checkpoints, so you rarely have to repeat parts you already completed.
Just read through your post about the upcoming Driver title.. sounds pretty awesome. I'll definitely be getting that.
I was playing Alan Wake in a dark cabin in the middle of the woods last night. I decided to go for a midnight stroll afterward. Remedy makes the most awesome and realistic horror games on the planet!

I just rented Nier. It's a pretty good Action RPG by Square Enix that came out 3 months ago and seems to have flown under most peoples radars.
My xbox got the E74 error last night. :-(
I'm trying all the fixes on Youtube... If none work, Then I might just open it up and work on it.
It is still under the 3 year warranty (I think), but I really don't know if I want to send it away for a month, when fixing it myself won't really decrease it's value (The elite is selling for barely $100 on Ebay). So i might just fix it myself, and use it until I can replace it with one of the new models.
Anyone have any dealings with the E74 error before?
I bought Alan Wake when it came out. It makes me so motion sick! I hate getting motion sickness from games. It happens all the time though. :2sad:

I haven't seen that error. Definitely try the fixes, my OH has fixed 3 YLOD on PS3s now. Good luck! :-)
Anyone who says onions make you cry has clearly never been hit in the face with a turnip.
I am at 99.5% on Red Dead Redemption.... That last .5% is going to drive me nuts as I have no clue what it is. :x
Oh..and as for my xbox... It's toast. We tried to fix it, but every trick we found (Both the good and the insane) failed. I am borrowing my friends until i can afford to replace mine. :|

Mafia II demo on Xbox live now.
I bought the PC version of the first one, but never had a set up that felt comfortable playing it. I've been playing the Mafia II demo all day... If you die, the 10 minute timer resets.
I especially love all the little details, like how if you roll a Convertible... You get crushed and die. Unlike in other sandbox games like GTA or Saints row, where you just crawl out and the car explodes.
I finally bothered to "find" a free copy of Fallout 3 lying around online yesterday. Seems tedious so far but I've read enough to make me think it's worth it.
I've been playing Sherlock holmes vs. Jack The Ripper lately.
I have no idea how it got in my Gamefly queue... But I was pleasantly surprised by it. It's slow, but it's historicly accurate... I'll hear a name, then google it and find out it was a real person related to the case. I also cheated by looking up details on the victims wikipedia pages.
I bought Dead Rising 2 Case: Zero last night. It was definately worth the 400 points. I played it too late into the night.

I bought it last night too, as soon as I saw it was finally out.
I'm about to start playing it right now, so hopefully its not too addictive as I have 30 minutes before I have to go to work.
I played the Amnesia: The Dark Descent demo last night. Graphics are old school but the game is cheap and has a ton of goosebumps moments, great atmosphere.
Another Fall/Winter of too many games and not enough money. I'll probably get Halo Reach tomorrow as it's getting stellar reviews. In two weeks I'll buy Dead Rising 2 and play all day on my birthday. Other games I'm considering this Fall will be Fable 3, Fallout Vegas, and Kinect with Dance Central.

Agreed. Although, It's less money, and more Time that is holding me back.
I already pre-ordered the Collectors edition of Dead Rising 2 (Although, the collectors edition is kind of weak....), and planning on getting NFS: Hot Pursuit, Test drive unlimited 2, Fallout New Vegas, Driver: San Fran, and Gran Turismo 5 (I should buy a PS3 first though.).
Right now, I am getting to play about 15 minutes of Mafia II a night, If lucky.
Halo Reach :3
