Police are looking for a Granger man who has been missing for months.

The last time friends and family heard from 38-year-old Jonathan Hamby was February 23, 2017.

His parents say there was no sign he planned on leaving left the area.

"He took no clothes, no money," said Kevin Hamby, Jonathan's father. "[He] never accessed the bank account , everything just went silent."

Jonathan is a big sports fan who loved Notre Dame and playing basketball, which adds to the pain this time of year for his mother.

"We watched all the games together, so I really miss that," said Cordia Hamby, Jonathan's mother. "I know nothing this year, so It?s very very difficult, I miss that a lot."

Now 32 agonizing weeks later, to the day, multiple agencies are stepping in to help Kevin and Cordia find answers. Michiana Crime Stoppers is hoping an enhanced reward will entice someone, somewhere to say something.

"That?s where that enhanced reward for the family has come in, they?re asking for that support, and the help from the community and crime stoppers is being that voice for them." says Detective Kayla Miller with the South Bend Police and Michiana Crime Stoppers.

"She just hopes somebody will come forward and share some information because they are just devastated and heartbroken that it has been so many months now and they have no idea what has happened."

Michiana Crime Stoppers is offering an enhanced reward of $20,000 for information on Jonathan's disappearance.

"Personally, I think someone killed him," said Cordia. "Someone did something to him."

A parent?s worst nightmare now being investigated by the new Elkhart County Homicide Unit which has taken over the investigation from Mishawaka police.
