Radee Labeeb Prince shot/killed 3 and injured 2 - Baltimore

Three people dead and two hospitalized after shooting in Baltimore-area business park as police say 'armed and dangerous' killer is on the run

Three people have died and two left in critical condition after a shooting took place in a Baltimore-area business park on Wednesday morning.

Police said Radee Labeeb Prince, 38, shot five people at Advanced Granite Solutions in the Emmorton Business Park, around 20 miles northeast of central Baltimore, shortly after 9am.

He then fled the scene in a car and is now at large and 'armed and dangerous,' police have warned. Businesses and schools remain on lockdown, WBALTV11 reported.
peaking at a press conference, Major William Davis Harford of the County Sheriff's Department said that deputies arrived on the scene within four minutes of the shooting.

They found five people wounded, two of whom died on the scene, with a third dying later. Two others are in critical condition.

Prince is then believed to have fled the scene in a 2008 black GMC Arcadia with the Delaware license plate PC0 64273.

He should be considered 'armed and dangerous' and not approached, Davis said. Anyone spotting him should call 911 immediately, he added.

Police are '100 per cent sure' that Prince is the only suspect, he said.

Davis said that initial investigations suggest that the victims were shot with a handgun - the only weapon believed to be used in the crime.

The crime is considered a 'workplace shooting' as all five victims work at Advance Granite Solutions, but it's not yet been confirmed whether Prince worked there.

Radee Prince, suspected of murdering 3 people in a shooting spree at a Maryland business park, has been caught, authorities confirmed on Wednesday, Oct. 18.

The arrest in Delaware ended a 10-hour large-scale manhunt along the Interstate 95 Northeast corridor.

Maryland Shooting Suspect Radee Prince Arrested

Police arrested Prince at approximately 7 p.m. after a brief chase, during which he cast aside a 0.38 firearm.

Earlier on Wednesday, police had been notified of a shooting at Edgewood, Maryland at approximately 9 a.m., during which 3 people were killed and 2 injured,

Prince fled the scene–his workplace for the past four months, where had been scheduled to work that day.

Authorities initiated a manhunt, with helicopters and law enforcement trying to track Prince with the assistance of the FBI.

Police cruisers were stationed in highway medians, and a description of Prince’s vehicle and its Delaware license plate displayed on overhead highway signs.

Then at 10:46 a.m. police received news of another shooting, this time at a car dealership in Wilmington. The victim was able to link the incident with Prince, identifying his car as he drove off.

“This is targeted–this individual knew the people he wanted to go shoot,” Wilmington police Chief Tracy said, according to CBS. “This isn’t a random act of violence.”

A statement posted on the Harford County Sheriff’s Facebook page said that the motive of the accused is unclear.

I don't understand how it gets to this level. Where someone's life no longer matters.

Jury selection begins in trial of suspected Edgewood workplace shooter

Jury selection has begun in Delaware for a man accused of shooting five people in Edgewood, Maryland, and another person in Delaware.

Radee Prince is accused of opening fire inside Advanced Granite Solutions in Edgewood, where he worked in October, killing three people and injuring two others.

He then drove to Wilmington, Delaware, where he shot the owner of a used-car dealership, Rashan Baul, in the head, officials said. Prince was later apprehended in Delaware after an extensive manhunt.

"(Rashan) went through therapy. He's healthy again and God has blessed him. He kept him in this world,"said Carla Baul, Rashan's mother.

Prince's trial for the attempted murder of Rashan Baul started Tuesday in Wilmington with jury selection and opening statements.

Maryland office park killing suspect convicted in Delaware

A New Castle County jury found Radee Prince, 38, guilty of attempted manslaughter, reckless endangering, resisting arrest, carrying a concealed weapon and two counts of possession of a firearm during commission of a felony.

Prince had been charged with attempted murder in the October shooting of Wilmington businessman Jason Baul, but the jury opted to convict him on the lesser charge of attempted manslaughter. Prince testified that he feared Baul, with whom he had several run-ins, and said the shooting was in self-defense.

A judge set an Aug. 31 sentencing date for Prince, who faces at least eight years in prison and a maximum of 89 years behind bars.

‘Like A Scene From A Horror Movie’ | Trial Underway For Radee Prince, Man Accused Of Shooting, Killing Co-Workers In Harford County

    https://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2020/...gewood-latest/

BEL AIR, Md. (WJZ) — Three years ago this week, prosecutors allege Radee Prince opened fire on his co-workers at a granite business in Edgewood, Harford County, killing three of them and injuring two more people.

Now, his trial is underway for the mass shooting. Prince’s lawyers claim he’s not criminally responsible—an insanity defense. They also allege he was picked on while at work. But prosecutors say the shootings were premeditated, and they claim Prince is a cold-blooded killer.

Now, his trial is underway for the mass shooting. Prince’s lawyers claim he’s not criminally responsible—an insanity defense. They also allege he was picked on while at work. But prosecutors say the shootings were premeditated, and they claim Prince is a cold-blooded killer.

Jurors heard testimony Tuesday from a sheriff’s investigator who collected evidence including the shell casings at the scene. He said there were five shots fired at “specific targets.”

They also heard from one of the first deputies on the scene that day in October 2017. Sgt. Scott Johnson said the granite cutting machines were still running. “It was very loud. You couldn’t hear yourself think,” he testified.

Johnson and others began searching the building for an active shooter. “I observed three bodies. All were shot in the head,” he said.

He described blood covering the floors. “It was like a scene from a horror movie,” he told jurors.

A former co-worker who was not injured also took the stand. He described Prince as a hard worker and “very good machine operator.” Prince’s defense attorney asked whether Prince had ever been called names at work. The witness said he didn’t recall Prince ever being specifically picked on.

WJZ has reported on red flags in Prince’s behavior before the killing. They include a lengthy criminal record in Delaware and a protective order a former boss tried to file against him, saying he feared Prince after he punched a co-worker. The judge at the time denied the request.

Prince fled to Delaware after the killings in Harford County where he shot an acquaintance at a used car lot. He is serving 40 years for that crime. He told the judge at sentencing he needed treatment for mental illness.

Prince faces life in prison without parole if the jury convicts him of the Harford County killings.

He sat calmly in court Tuesday and took notes during some of the testimony.

The trial is taking place in the ceremonial courtroom at the Harford County Circuit Courthouse in Bel Air where masks are required.

Observers are not allowed inside the courtroom and must fill out a health questionnaire and have their temperature taken before being allowed to watch the proceedings from closed-circuit television in a separate courtroom.

The trial is expected to last two weeks.

A Harford County jury found Radee Prince guilty on all counts Wednesday.

Prince has a Not Criminally Responsible hearing Wednesday afternoon.

Prince was charged in connection with the shooting of five people inside the Advanced Granite Solutions warehouse in Edgewood in October 2017. Three employees died in the shooting.

Prince took the stand last week to testify in his murder trial in Maryland. In his testimony Thursday, Prince admitted he fired the gun five times. He said he shot one man because "he made a threatening gesture."

Prince said he only used the gun in the attack and had never fired it before then. He testified that the gun jammed at one point during the shooting.

On Friday, Prince confessed to the crime. During Friday's testimony, Prince said he was remorseful for the attack. When asked how many shots were fired inside the warehouse, Prince became frustrated saying: "I admitted that I shot five people. I don't know what else you want to me to say."
