    NorCal Wildfires

Wasn't sure what to use as a title so if a mod wants to change it, please do.

This is so awful....the place I went to treatment is evacuated as it is in Santa Rosa. SO many homes/businesses destroyed, 21 so far confirmed dead but sure that will rise as lots are missing. Even here in Sac the air is all smokey. I know quite a few people I was in treatment with who have been evacuated and some lost homes. Also a hard hit to lots of wineries in Napa.

Can't remember how to post pics, but they are awful.

21 confirmed dead thus far in NorCal wildfires

    SACRAMENTO, Calif. (KCRA) ?
Fire officials confirmed Wednesday the remains of four more people were found, bringing the death toll to 21 as more than 16 wildfires continue to rage in Northern California.

Less than an hour after the Yuba County Sheriff's Department reported a second body was found in the charred rubble of a home left destroyed by the Cascade Fire, Cal Fire Director Ken Pimlott announced three additional deaths.

"Make no mistake: This is a serious, critical, catastrophic event," Pimlott said.

There is no word yet on which fire the three bodies were pulled from.

The Sonoma County sheriff's officials said 670 people ertr still listed missing in wine country.

Eleven people were confirmed dead in Sonoma County, where two major fires are burning: the Tubbs Fire and the Nuns Fire.

In addition, the Mendocino County Sheriff's Department confirmed at least three people were dead as a result of the Redwood/Potter Fire Complex, also being called the Mendocino Lake Complex.

Two people have also died in wildfires burning in Napa County.

The pictures I've seen are devistating. I'm happy my friends in the area are safe, but some may have nothing to go home to. One just finished cancer treatment. If I was a religious person I may think the end of times is near.

Yeah, the photos are heartbreaking. We're used to the hills flaming up and losing a few structures, but whole neighborhoods.... Not so much. It's really horrible

The missing toll is apparently at over 300 last I heard, but that is probably mostly due to lack of power and cell service. 27 confirmed deaths.

The fact that this is getting very little media coverage is pissing me off.

It seems to be everywhere for me here, but it is local to me....

What is crazy is how many different fires started in different areas (close but not close enough to be related), pretty much the same time.

This is what I imagine the end of the world looking like.

(No, I am not one of those people, but, if it were to happen..)

I can't be the only one out here, I'm just not. Don't worry about it. Mind your fucking business.

Way more coverage of California than Montana here. More acres burned in MT, but far more people killed, impacted, so maybe it's understandable.

I'm so very sorry for people that are losing everything... Charles Shultz' widow lost her home and a ton of Charlie Brown memorabilia...
